Superb views over the Georgian architecture and abbey can be enjoyed from various secret seating areas in the delightful pretty garden. Local amenities and pubs are within a few minutes’ walk, and the city is easily reached, though the return is inevitably uphill in places! Bath is a vibrant cultural city with many attractions: famous ones include the Roman Baths and Spa, the sweeping crescents, the magnificent abbey, Pulteney Bridge and weir, and the Aquae Thermae Spa with rooftop open air pool. There are many galleries, museums, theatres and parks, and a vast array of restaurants, cafes and unique individual shops. Walks and boat rides can be taken at the River Avon and the Kennet and Avon canal, both of which run through the city. Just outside the city the American museum is a popular attraction. Further afield there is Cheddar Gorge and caves, Longleat Safari Park, Stonehenge, Glastonbury and Wells. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
