Many local places of interest including the pretty, historic, carpet towns of Axminster and Chard, both with indoor swimming pools, PO. stores, traditional inns and restaurants all to hand along with several quaint villages. Honiton, Forde Abbey, Cricket St Thomas, Hornsbury Mill, several National Trust properties and the beaches and attractions of Lyme Regis and Charmouth - part of the superb World Heritage Jurassic Coastline, all waiting to be explored. Other resorts include West Bay, with its harbour, and Seaton, which has its own tramway ride along the Axe Estuary, famous for its bird life, to Colyton. Sidmouth and Exmouth, Beer and Branscombe are all within easy reach. Shops and pubs 2½ miles.
