We found Garth Cottage to be ideal for our particular requirements. The location is very good being set in quiet and lush rural site with very good access to more of the same, plus a reasonable array of local amenities only a short drive away. It is also very well placed for coastal access from the traditionally tacky and brash resorts to the more sedate and understated access points to spacious sandy beaches. The cottage itself is well presented, furnished and equipped without being extravagant. The layout has its quirks (remember to duck under older doorways) but offers a good amount of space to spread out, eat and cook. The garden is small but with high levels of privacy and in June received three-quarters sun coverage from dawn to dusk. Lincolnshire is under-exploited as a rural retreat, and for nature-lovers, and outdoor enthusiasts provides a delectable arena. We really enjoyed our stay (it must be noted, during the best summer weather for several years) and found the premises very good value for money.

We enjoyed our holiday at the cottage - if you want to escape and have a quiet peaceful break this is just the property for you. It’s a very rural location and so if you want to get away from it all ( including phone signal ) book this cottage. 15 minutes from the delightful market town of Louth, 25 minutes to the coast it’s a perfect spot to base yourself to see Lincolnshire.

Had a lovely mini break here in March and it was particularly nice to have a kingsize bed which we are used to, as opposed to a standard double that is in so many holiday venues. The owner is very welcoming and everything that was needed was to hand, the only recommendation that we could think of is that the heating needs to be on during the day in the cold weather and the addition of a light in the rear garden would be great, apart from that, we couldnt fault it and we had a good stay with our 2 dogs who thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

Garth Cottage was a welcoming and comfortable place. Everything was of a high standard. The only complaint I had was that the twin-bedded room was not double-glazed and one could hear the traffic in the early morning. The room was draughty too.

This is a nice cosy cottage in a very friendly village,it is arranged in way that is very suited to couples as well as families. We had our dog with us and found no problem in being able to eat out in the area with her. I would also advise to rent the Beach Hut it is lovely and on a nice quite sandy beach, even if the weather is not good as it is warm and comfortable. If in the area we would stay there again.

Loved the cottage, far enough away from maddening crowds but within an easy drive to the coast. Would definitely stay again!!! The place is lovely. Sandilands beach is a definite 10 out of 10!!!

Very comfortable, but car required for local amenities. Also, slightly disappointing that we had no access to internet/wifi for receiving/making calls.
