Parking is very tight and would not be suitable for large cars. This is my only minor negative comment about an excellent holiday property.

There was no washing machine to launder towels or clothes, and with no launderette we did have to buy clean towels from Tescos. The wine glasses were dirty and needed washing before use. It was a lovely place to stay but was dusty on arrival in the lounge.

Excellent cottage - warm, comfortable, good bathrooms and constant hot water, in a very convenient location close to the centre of Hexham. Great French restaurant about 100m away, and a very pleasant walk through a park to fascinating Hexham Abbey. Very good access to all the Roman sites. Highly recommended.
