    > Nestled peacefully down a quiet lane in the small village of Llangennech, this pet-friendly, traditional, detached former barn has been restored to a very good standard, with a private patio and garden with a gas BBQ and hot tub, making it a perfect touring base for a family or couple looking to explore west Wales. ‘Glanmwrg Fawr’ has retained much of its original charm, character and lots of welcoming touches have been added, such as wi-fi and a large freesat TV with DVD player. Adjoining the owner’s home, and tastefully decorated throughout with spacious living areas and disabled facilities available, the access is wheelchair friendly and on the ground floor there is a walk-in bath with a removable hydraulic bath seat, and a bedroom has adjustable beds. The holiday home boasts a large games room with all the facilities to entertain the family during inclement weather. The glistening Loughor Estuary is on the doorstep and provides a haven for waders and geese at the National Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Centre, 3 miles. The picturesque Millennium Coastal Path (and 12 mile bike track) to Pembrey Country Park leads you along the idyllic shores, with spectacular views of the Gower Peninsula (AONB). For a family outing, visit the scenic Pembrey Country Park, 8 miles, and discover its 7 miles of sandy beaches set within the forest, featuring a dry ski slope, horse riding trails and model steam engines. For the sports enthusiasts, visitors can enjoy a round of golf at the Jack Nicklaus course or watch live sport at the Llanelli Scarlet’s Rugby Stadium and nearby Ffos Las racecourse. Away from the coast, Carmarthenshire countryside is just as promising with its array of charming market towns such as Llandelio and Carmarthen, as well the many enchanted medieval sites dotted around the county, including Kidwelly and Dinefwr 12th century castle and Heritage park. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Spent 1 very hot & sunny week at the cottage. Excellent accommodation in a lovely location where you can easily explore Swansea, the Gower & Pembrey Park. Laugharne, Pendine & Tenby are also within easy reach. All you could want at the cottage and wished we had stayed for 2 weeks!

Fantastic barn, perfect for families with the totally enclosed garden, games room and hot tub. Very dog friendly too. Walks from the doorstep. Friendly owners closeby if any queries but in no way intrusive. Would definitely return but be prepared to travel to visit the beautiful beaches and surrounding area.

Excellent Holiday cottage especially the fully enclosed garden for the dog and Hot tub. The surrounding area and Gower peninsula had lovely beaches and most were very dog friendly. We also found a brilliant Marston's pub locally which was very very dog friendly and it did a great range of meals. Would strongly recommend, and are likely to return next year. Many thanks.

We loved our time at Glanmwrwg Barn, just yards from where my mother was born a century ago. It’s equipped to allow maximum fun! We were 6 adults and we used the video projector to watch movies, had fun playing table tennis and snooker and used the hot tub every day. The immediate location is not beautiful but we made excursions in all directions: the beautiful Gower, Laugharne, waterfalls up the Neath valley, so ideal for sightseeing. And the welcome pack was very thoughtful too!

As a family of 5 adults a child and a dog,we found the house to be very spacious and comfortable. the owner was very nice, but unfortunately the house could have done with a bit of a good clean, dusty areas, marked kitchen cupboards and fridge etc. otherwise our stay here over a lovely sunny easter, was very enjoyable. We used the hot tub every day,it was fab. The surrounding areas are lovely. Also the welcome pack very much appreciated.

We loved staying here! Plenty of space. Great facilities. Warm. Great jacuzzi. Fabulous home cinema projector and screen. Well stocked kitchen with lovely hamper on arrival. Very friendly owners. Enjoyed the games room. Great enclosed garden for the dog. Huge lounge with very comfy furniture. Light and spacious. In a very quiet secluded location within walking distance to shops and takeaways. Lovely and quiet at night in the jacuzzi under the stars.
