These holiday cottages refs W43699 and W43700 are situated in the middle of the pretty village of Exhall. Parts of the farmhouse date back to Tudor times and for centuries it’s been the home of the local clergyman who both cultivated the land and preached in the tiny church next door. William Shakespeare is alleged to have referred in a poem to ’Dodging Exhall’ and the tag has remained ever since. If you wish to dodge the hustle and bustle of the 21st century you could do no better than stay in this delightful place for although peace and quiet is in plenty a 10 minute drive will take you to Stratford-upon-Avon 40 minutes to the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham or Broadway in the beautiful Cotswolds Hills. All this plus plenty of local country pubs serving good food and the many historic houses and castles that abound in the area make this an ideal holiday location for exploring the Heart of England. Shops and restaurant 2 miles pub ½ mile. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/921/840/921777.jpg W43700

Amazing cottage, beautifully decorated and fully equipped. Just a tad too far to walk to the pub but very thing else totally perfect xx

Positives were very comfy beds, good location and nice outdoor space for the kids. Negatives were that it was over-priced for the space and condition of the property - it needed a lot of TLC and a very good clean. There were pet hairs everywhere and a lot of dust and grime when we moved the chair to retrieve toys.

We had a wonderful week at Duck Pond Cottage. The place was very cosy, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The location is rural but there are wonderful pubs and some shops within a 5 minute drive, and Stratford Upon Avon is a 10 minute drive away. The only negative was the shared garden - we have 2 dogs and we couldn’t let them out unsupervised; my fault for not reading the info properly, but a short drive to Oversley Wood was a great place to exercise them. Overall our experience was very enjoyable and I would recommend it.

Lovely cottage and situated in a beautiful location. Many good local eateries. Short drive to historical attractions and also good location for exploring four counties. The cottage was comfortable and reasonably equipped. Overall it needs some attention to detail, a bit of TLC wouldn't go amiss. Possibly would benefit from a top to bottom clean with the kitchen being reorganised and broken utensils being removed and replaced. Shared garden was a bit confusing as not sure who was eligible to benefit from it . There was quite a lot of dog mess but maybe this was from surrounding residents dogs as they seem to share the garden too.

The location was idyllic, scenic and peaceful. However, we had to clear up loads of dogs' faeces on the shared garden, before we could use it, particularly as we had two toddlers with us. There was loads of dust and dog hairs under the settee, and behind the settee cushions. The white bathroom mat downstairs was grey. The neighbours' two dogs woke us during the night, every night, of the three that we stayed there. It was unfortunate as this is an ideal meeting place for our family, but we will be choosing a non-dog friendly holiday cottage in the future.

Fantastic cottage in a beautiful setting. Great base for exploring the whole of Warwickshire and into the Cotswolds. Would love to stay again.

Lovely well-equipped cottage. Huge shared garden with great views. Good location with Alcester, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon within easy reach and worth a visit. The nearby pub 'The Fish' at Wixford is quirky, welcoming and dog-friendly. It serves good food. There were 7 of us in the cottage and we had a fantastic holiday.

Lovely cottage. Beautiful view. Garden, outdoor table and play equipment great. Could have done with more instructions eg nearest shop directions, how to use heating and rubbish recycling Also very cold when we arrived so would have been good to have heating on but lovely to see treats on table (even for the dog!)
