A relaxing and comfortable cottage. The interior of 'Glencroft 'has been planned to suit all needs. The bedrooms were comfortable and the ensuites an added bonus. The utility room was equipped with a microwave, washing machine and dryer , with enough room for our dogs. The lounge/ dining area was spacious and comfortable with leather sofas and two armchairs in addition. Having stayed in numerous cottages over the years this has to be one of our favourites.

Beautiful well equipped cottage far enough away for solitude we wanted close enough for local shops 10 minutes stranear . Loved the place small private wood to walk dogs . Local beaches beautiful too. Can't recommend it highly enough. Amy previous negative comments should be dismissed. You can't please all the people all of the time.

door locks and windows could do with some wd40 as very stiff and awkward to open , just needs a bit of tlc ! decor is good throughout though. A secure area for dogs would be an advantage . Best thing we liked was its proximity to Portpatrick as we were able to combine a visit to the pubs with a lovely walk along the coast for the dogs . For us it was great and although we think the property could be better its location and garden wins , we have booked to go back March 2020.

Very spacious and well appointed cottage. We had a few littles issues which resulted in a slightly lower score. However the area is lovely. Portpatrick which is short drive away is fabulous loads of great pubs and restaurants. Our favourites were the Crown ( best for folk music) and the interesting Mount Stewart. Highly recommend “ Connors Restaurant” . We were fortunate that our trip coincided with the Portpatrick Folk Festival and the Stranraer Oyster Festival The Light House Hotel at Corsewell Point at the far north is most interesting.

Nice house in very quiet setting. Great open garden but garden furniture filthy and unusable. A few complaints in visitor book about dirty greasey cooker, we also found this to be evident so never bothered with visitor book as last entries not obviously taken seriously enough by owner's. But overall a comfortable home. We also had a Fox pop in to say hello!! And the next morning a Hare.

First visit to Glencroft, note that only downstairs is available but is fine. There was no key for the back door even though it was marked as an escape route. Note that there are two live internet cameras on the outside of the property streaming out onto the Internet all the time, security for the owners? Dog owners take note that the property has a small wooded area that is great for the dogs, note that around the cottage, there is no fence or gates along the road side so careful with your dog(s). Garden needs attention, especially the back as the grass was long and the previous cut was by strimmer leaving all the old cuttings in place. Had to mend one of the bedroom blinds as the pull cord had come off and the patio door proved problematic at times. Apart from the above, Glencroft was very comfortable and warm. Walk down the road towards the hotel and there is a small pebble beach with walks along the cliffs etc. A small drive takes you to many local attractions and some really good beaches.

We really enjoyed our holiday and will certainly re book. One or two minor bits I mentioned in visitors book. The cottage was very comfortable a real home from home.
