Fishing rights on Loch Awe with open access to lochside youngsters should be supervised boat slipway and 5 acres of ground around lodge. Off road parking for 2 cars. Please note The property is only suitable for 3 adults and 2 children.\n\n Glendale Lodge has an uninterrupted view overlooking Loch Awe and out to the twin peaks of Ben Cruachan. This is a wonderful peaceful location on the quiet single track road which runs the southern length of Loch Awe - Scotland’s longest inland loch at 24 miles long. Glendale sits with another 4 lodges each with spacious surroundings and access to over 5 acres of grounds. The lounge has large windows looking out to the stunning view and making the room feel part of the scenery and the galley style kitchen is very well equipped. The lodge has fantastic spacious decking across the front and side of the property which has been renovated including an extension of the roof. With sun loungers BBQ natural firepit and a table and chairs it makes a great outdoor space to relax and enjoy the incredible view. You look out onto the Ben Cruachan group of mountains which has 7 peaks all over 3000 feet great for Munro climbing enthusiasts but also stunning scenery to photograph. The lodge comes with fishing rights for the loch famous for brown trout and pike and it is only a short stroll down to the lochside where you can fish from the bank or launch a boat on the slipway. Alternatively you can hire a boat locally to explore the loch or relax and take the steamboat in the summer months from Loch Awe village. Glendale Lodge is only a half mile walk to the local hotel which has a pub and restaurant. Golf nearby. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/145/840/1452850.jpg CC523016

Spent the most perfect weekend at this lovely quaint, cosy cabin. Really couldn't have wanted anything more. From relaxing in the cabin to sitting on the decking looking at the incredible views this cabin is in the most idyllic surrounding. A perfect place to escape to and relax. Looking forward to when we can return.

Wonderful views and perfect to get away from 'it all'. Some parts of Lodge getting a bit tired but very well equipped. I would happily go back again.

The place was grubby and the utensils were years old with marks and rust on them. Would not visit this lodge again. External furniture and hot tub had mould all over them and could not be used. The bed must be at least 10 years old and dips in the middle. We had to come home after 4 nights as we both had sore backs and couldn't stand it any longer.

Glendale cottage was everything we expected and wanted. A proper country cabin! The cottage is well equipped and had everything we needed for cooking and bbq-ing. Inside the cottage is tastefully decorated in a style you would expect. Bedrooms were comfy and cosy, living area had lots of space to relax. Outside area is fabulous. Even in the Scottish rain we were able to sit outside and eat and drink on the huge decking area under the cover of the veranda, we even had a fire going in the fire pit! The local hotel is a short walk and we enjoyed a lovely evening meal with our children. Would highly recommend Glendale cottage for anyone wanting to escape city life and enjoy the Scottish countryside in a traditional way.

Lovely views and clean inside, perhaps the peaty water should be mentioned on arrival, fortunately we took bottled water.think outside would benefit from a clean up ie Windows and doors cleaned.first impressions and all that.on a plus there was things to do on a rainy day jigsaws,DVDs, and there was a lot of great places to visit so a good base.
