Please note There is a locked covered well on the patio.\n Set in lovely gardens and just a short stroll to the Helford Passage and creeks this single-storey wing of the owner’s home will appeal to garden lovers walkers and guests looking for a peaceful tranquil setting. It neighbours two of the south west’s leading gardens the National Trust Glendurgan Gardens which is listed in the top 5 for the whole of the south west and also lies just a few yards from the sub tropical gardens of Trebah and the banks of the Helford River. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has much to offer whatever the season. The Helford River famous for Daphne Du Maurier’s novel ’Frenchmans Creek’ is a quiet unspoilt haven. The small waterfront hamlet of Durgan owned by the National Trust is like stepping back in time where woodland meets the waters edge with a quiet small beach. Enjoy a meal and watch the marine activity nearby at the famous Ferry Boat Inn a popular waterfront pub serving great food and local ales. A small ferry service takes passengers over to the village of Helford with thatch cottages and a stream a true Cornish post card setting. The small village of Mawnan Smith is within walking distance and offers a small square with a pub tea rooms restaurant and village store.\n\nThe lovely sandy beach at Maenporth is a great place to enjoy a cuppa at the cafe or spend time swimming snorkelling or walking the coastal path. There is also a restaurant with a renowned chef and stunning coastal views. Nearby is the busy port of Falmouth with its prestigious marinas sailing events and calendar of activities in Events Square under the watchful eye of the National Maritime Museum. Sea Shanty Week Falmouth Week The Oyster Festival markets carnivals and much more to delight everyone. Take one of the local ferry services over to St Mawes Flushing or an evening pleasure cruise down the Helford River. Take the popular sea safari to watch marine wildlife including dolphins basking sharks seals and much more. Philleigh Way Cookery School offers Cornish cookery classes.\n\nPendennis Castle sits proudly on the headland opposite its sister castle at St Mawes. Both castles were built by Henry VI to protect the important Fal Estuary and Carrick Roads. They are run by English Heritage and host a number of events throughout the year including battle re-enactments and jousting. The area is popular for sailing watersports walking golf at Budock Vean and cycling with many trails and bike hire available locally.     We had a lovely, peaceful week here. The two gardens very near the cottage are beautiful as are the beaches in them. There is plenty to see and do in the area. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed eating breakfast in the sunny conservatory. The owners were very helpful and welcoming and we would love to come back again.

    Tim & Alison were really friendly and on hand if there were any queries or problems. Lovely area and we were blessed with lovely weather being the first week in September.

    Had a fabulous time here, Tim and Alison could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Upon arrival we were surprised to find that the cottage and the surroundings were even better than they looked in the pictures. This is by far one of the best properties we have stayed at. The location is perfect so that you don't have to use the car all the time, there is so much to do and see within walking distance. If you prefer a quieter holiday this is also ideal for that too as you don't even have to leave the accommodation to feel refreshed and rested. Can't praise Glendurgan Reach or it's hosts enough, we will definitely be back in the future.

    This was one of the best properties we have ever stayed in. It has a great kitchen and is larger than most properties for two. There are so many footpaths accessible from the property that you can do a different walk every day in stunning scenery. Trebah garden about 500 yards away is also beautiful and good value for money with a lovely private beach. We hope to return!!

    For the second year running we enjoyed a wonderful stay in Glendurgan Reach. The property is perfectly situated for walks so you can abandon the car. It is in such a lovely quiet spot you come away fully rested and recuperated.
