Glen Gyle cottage is set in the beautiful countryside , if you want a quiet and peaceful holiday , ideal to take your pets with you . The cottage is fabulous everything you need in the cottage . The birds kept us well entertained and the badger ( even though we left food out for the badger each evening we never got to see him, he did eat the food though). I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful , relaxing holiday .

This is a lovely peaceful and well equiped cottage. It is very clean and has a comfy bed. It is also Dog friendly. We had a very relaxing holiday here. We have stayed in many cottages, this is the best in terms of cleansliness. We had a lovely welcome pack and fresh flowers on arrival. There was nothing the cottage was short off. The only disadvantage was you couldn,t open your windows as there was a lot and i mean a lot of midgets just outside the cottage. We were bitten several times. The migets would get inside the cottage when you opened the door. The Cottage is far away from local ammenities, but to be fair we already knew that when we booked. I would recommend this cottage, but you will need insect repellent. We never saw the Badgers that are suppose to come each evening. It was lovely watching the wild birds eating. The cottage was certainly good value for money.

Remote cottages ideal for plenty of walking or cycling. Very quiet and very dark at night, great skies! Cottage is very well equipped and clean can`t fault anything. Beware of long & windy single track road but well worth it. Plenty of birds had a badger visit every night even had a pine martin one night. Great place!!

Fantastic stay. Beautiful location. Snow came on and had about 4inches, soon cleared up by local gritters. We have traveled all over Scotland and this is in top two to stay at. Will definitely return. Locals very friendly and information about roads and where to go valuable. See you soon

Cottage was absolutely perfect, the visit each night from the fox and badger made it extra special. Was a little too far out for us but saying that if visit again.

Really enjoyed our stay, two minor issues, but they are that. Apparently there was an enclosed garden this did appeared not to be the case and slightly annoying not enough cutlery, therefore, had to recycle teaspoons between uses.

Having stayed in many cottages, I feel this is one of the best.. Loved my stay, area was beautiful and quiet. In fact the weather was also great.. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone want something a little remote. I will be back but next time I would stay longer than a week.
