On arrival at Brow cottage, we were fully aware that dogs were allowed on the premises. We did not have a dog with us, but we might as well have. The place was filthy. All of the seating in the lounge was filthy, we could not possibly have sat on it the way it was. I had to clean down all of the seating in the lounge, and kitchen seating area. On further inspection of the kitchen and bathrooms, I soon discovered that these rooms were also needing a deep clean. As a person with a disability, I did not expect to spend the first two days of my holiday cleaning a kitchen, and two bathrooms. The whole place really needs a deep clean. There is no excuse for such a build up of dirt. The place should have been clean enough for us on arrival, whether or not dogs are allowed on the premises. We thought it was such a shame that such a beautiful old building should be treated with so little respect. Would we come back again, no, not really, unless we were guaranteed that the place was cleaned properly. Real shame! Also, all of the windows in the living room have been jammed closed with paint, so we couldn't open any of them, so no fresh air.

Amazing, wonderful, cozy, the photos on the website don’t do this story book cottage justice. It’s bigger on the inside then what it looks. Wonderfull welcome on arrival with tea and coffee set out, alongside yummy shortbread and pancakes . Our stay at this cottage has been the highlight of all 6 of us. So hard to leave.

A really beautiful place to stay. Gardens and grounds were lovely. Dark sky’s full of stars. Nice big kitchen for all six of us. The cottage is a tardis - looks smaller but inside it’s quite large. Lovely living room with a great fire. Nice and warm. The boot room was a terrific bonus with wet boots/coats etc. comfy beds. Lovely furnishings. Very clean indeed. You do need to get the car out to get to places but that’s standard for Scotland! Could perhaps have done but with a few more bits a pieces in the kitchen - garlic press, better knives, pint glasses, another frying pan. Perhaps a bigger fridge. Spare light bulbs, dog poo bags, webaps a dog water dish, spare batteries. But these are minor things. Everything was lovely. Thank you for a fabulous new year stay.

Brow cottage is a gem of a cottage, perfectly placed for exploring Aberdeenshire. The red squirrels and deer in the garden were a bonus, we loved our week here and we hope to return.

We stayed at Brow because my grandparents lived there when my grandfather was the head gamekeeper on Glenkindie Estate . To be honest , it was the memories that attracted us and we didn’t have great expectations of the visit . How wrong we were . The cottage has been wonderfully renovated and Glenkindie itself is as beautiful as ever . If it’s peace and quiet you’re after , this is the place to find it . The scenery is lovely and all of the locals we met were very friendly and helpful . Glenkindie House is spectacular and , although not open to the public , it can still be scene from the road and tracks . Balmoral and Braemar are an easy drive away and make an excellent day out .

The cottage was in the perfect location for what we were doing. We were on a driving holiday with a few friends. A large driveway for the 4 cars and lactated next to some incredible roads.

The Cottage is located in a superb area in Scotland. Most mornings we were greated by all kinds of wildlife in and around the cottages grounds. The cottage was clean and had ample facilities for our family of 8. The nearest supermarkets- ASDA and TESCO are located in Huntly, a good 30 minutes away. So plan ahead when arriving for groceries. We would all most definitely stay again.
