Glenthorne, a detached period property, is situated at the top of Torquay town, within walking distance to all the town has to offer. With shops, restaurants, and the beach all within walking distance everything is at your doorstep. With five bedrooms and plenty of driveway parking, the property is ideal for larger families or get togethers. Torquay is a lovely seaside town making up part of the English Riviera, along with Paignton and Brixham. Both of these towns are a short drive away. Visit Paignton for the cinema, arcades, and pier, or Brixham for the fresh fish restaurants serving it straight from the harbour. The nearby city of Exeter is only a 30-minute drive away, perfect for shopping. Also within reasonable distance are the likes of Totnes, the historic town of Dartmouth and Kingswear, as well as Salcombe and even Plymouth, all fantastic locations to visit.
In Torquay, make the most of the abundance of beautiful coastal walks and beaches, whether it be Meadfoot or Babbacombe with its views. A little further out towards Dartmouth way is Blackpool Sands, perfect for relaxing on the beach to really make a day of it. Within Torquay are activities such as the bowling alley and arcades, the Riviera centre with swimming pools and outside golf (both traditional and crazy golf for children). Not to mention the likes of Bygones, a family-friendly attraction with 3 floors of British history including Victorians, railways, 1950s, nostalgia, authentic curiosities, and interactive displays. The prehistoric caves of Kents Cavern are not too far away. Whether deciding to stay within the beautiful bay or venturing out to explore slightly further afield, Glenthorne is a great hub to start from.
