Gold Hill Cottage sits proudly at the top of this iconic street, once voted as ’The Most Romantic view in England’ so its little wonder Gold Hill has been featured on chocolate boxes, along with film locations and romantic selfies for years (not to mention a famous Hovis bread advert). Gold Hill Cottage is a small but perfectly formed bolt hole from which to explore this special part of Dorset. Shaftesbury itself is a quaint unspoiled town with a good range of boutique shops, pubs, and eateries.
Having been lovingly renovated, the cottage offers a little slice of perfection, from its open plan living/dining area with luxury Neptune kitchen and a stunning wet room. Relax on the sumptuous sofa perfectly positioned opposite the Chesney log stove. Then retire to the comfy king size bedroom with charm and character for the perfect night’s sleep. Outside, the garden is private and fully enclosed with dining and a separate seating area to while away a lazy day or enjoy a glass or two with a good book after a day exploring the sights.
This is the perfect place for a fun weekend away, but equally a great ’home from home’ for a longer stay to really enjoy the staggering beauty of Dorset’s countryside or the Jurassic coast and The Cranborne Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Take your time, relax and enjoy life’s simple pleasures, with good company, food and drink, Dorset is becoming well renowned as a ’foodie heaven’ with great local produce around every corner.
