This holiday cottage is set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a tastefully converted former granary thought to date back to the mid-18th century which once belonged to the Stackpole Estate. Nowadays, a large part of the Stackpole Estate is cared for by the National Trust including its award-winning golden beaches of Barafundle and Broadhaven South, and the beautiful Bosherston Lily Ponds, famous for their otters, waterfowl and water lilies. Enjoy stunning walks along the cliff tops and beaches of the coastal path, or through the pretty woodlands and around the tranquil lakes of the estate. Cycle one of the only "bike-friendly" sections of the coastal path directly from the cottage (limited access to this route - please check), or enjoy fishing, water sports and horse riding locally.
For days out without the car, the Coastal Cruiser on request bus service stops by the cottage to give access to towns, villages and the magnificent Norman castle at Pembroke, birthplace of Henry VII. The atmospheric St Govan’s Chapel nestles into a fissure in the cliffs with origins dating back to the 6th century and is 3 miles away. The Green Bridge of Wales and Stack Rocks, famed for their interesting geology and colonies of nesting seabirds are also 3 miles away.
The pretty medieval walled town of Tenby with its picturesque harbour is just a short drive away, from here you can take a boat trip to Caldey Island, home to a Cistercian monastery. Manor House Wildlife Park, Folly Farm, Heatherton, Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Lagoon, numerous historic castles and gardens, and the Preseli Mountains are also within easy reach. Relax in front of the cosy woodburner inside the cottage or watch glorious sunsets over the surrounding countryside from the patio. The Boathouse Tearoom (NT) at Stackpole Quay is 3 miles and Ye Olde Worlde Cafe (Auntie Vi’s) at Bosherston is 2 miles. Cawdors Tea Rooms and a shop selling seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables at the Stackpole Walled Gardens is 1 mile away. Other shops 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Granary Cottage can be booked together with The Byre (ref UK12398) to accommodate up to 9 guests.

Lovely cosy cottage with all that you might need provided. Very friendly but unobtrusive owners (if that is the right word).

The location of the cottage is idyllic and is thoughtfully laid out. The shower is AMAZING and you have everything that you need. None of that silly leaving you one bin bag or one dishwasher tablet or needing to dash out to buy salt and pepper. The little touch of milk in the fridge and a bunch of flowers was lovely. The owners were great - although they lived nearby we never felt that they were intrusive, in fact we only saw them three times and two of these times were when we turned up and when we left. Yet, they left their numbers so it was easy to get in touch if we needed them. The cottage is nicely a little quirky which we loved with the little out-house with the utility in there. There is a beautiful little grassy garden and court yard for the cottage and then a really large garden that is also OK to use. We just really loved it. It is very close to the Stackpole estate which is beyond beautiful, with its walled garden, its stunning beach and the unbelievable lily ponds (still haven't seen any otters there but it hardly mattered). I think that you'd really struggle to find fault.

Stunning, clean, efficiently run cottage. If you want to walk to Bosherston, you go along a lane which is fine, but do have to brave a few yards to of the B road (which isn't fun on foot.) If your happy to drive just a mile or two you can easily access the lily ponds, Stackpole ( and the Stackpole Arms) and everything The Stackpole Estate has to offer, Bosherston and St Govans, Barafundle Bay etc Pembroke for food supplies, eg co-op. Remember your binoculars, relax and have a lovely time.

Steve and I had a fabulous holiday staying at Granary Cottage in Pembrokeshire. The cottage is so comfortable and is in a beautiful, quiet location. The owners, Andy and Sally were helpful with suggestions of where to visit, places to eat etc. We love walking and the area is fabulous for getting to so many lovely coastal walks. We were lucky with the weather and had a couple of afternoons on the glorious sandy beaches.

An excellent cottage, very clean, comfortable and delightful. Plenty of walks from nearby Bosherton (2 miles) accessed from the cottage on foot by quiet lanes - though better to drive down and walk from Bosherton.

A wonderfully well equipped cottage that is warm and comfortable. Trust us, we went in January! Ideally situated for trips to towns and beaches alike. Very quiet and we received a very warm welcome from Sally. All in all great value for money.

Wonderful short break and the cottage surpassed my expectations in every way. Very warm welcome too from owners but had that balance of leaving you to it but being on hand if needed. Was concerned the cottage may be cold in January but it this was not the case and the added bonus of the wood burner added to the perfect ambience. Hope to visit again one day.
