It is only a few minutes’ walk from the Yorkshire village of Harome and 2 miles from Helmsley on the edge of the North York Moors National Park offering rural tranquillity.\nThis traditional cottage has been renovated to a very good standard retaining its original beams the original bull house and feeding window. All of the accommodation is on the ground floor with large comfortable rooms. The living room is cosy and inviting with a large stone fire place topped with an oak beam and furnished with a wood burner ideal for keeping warm on cool evenings. If you wish for a little peace and quiet away from family and friends you can retire to the small snug to read or perhaps enjoy a board game or a game of cards. The kitchendining room has a stunning hand crafted bespoke kitchen fitted out with all the mod cons. The chefs in the family will really enjoy cooking in here The master bedroom has a kingsize bed against an impressive feature brick wall and an en-suite with large walk-in shower. Two further large bedrooms have zip and link beds to provide the maximum flexibility for twin or double occupancy. The house bathroom has a large corner bath with a shower over.\nOutside this lovely cottage is a stone patio area with seating which is bathed in sunlight for much of the day and is the perfect location to enjoy breakfast in the great outdoors or an evening of al fresco dining. Across from the cottage is a large garden ideal for children to run around and let off steam. If you’re lucky you will also see an abundance of wildlife including fallow deer barn owls buzzards hares and squirrels.\nIn the nearby village of Harome is a Michelin star pubrestaurant with its thatched roof and wonky walls. A visit is well worth it even if just for a quick drink after a long day exploring the North York Moors. Grange Cottage is ideally located to enjoy the historic city of York and its world renowned attractions along with Helmsley which is famous for its beautiful market square ancient castle and unique shopping experience and of course the stately home of the Feversham family Duncombe Park. Beach 29 miles. Award-winning farm shop ½ mile pub and restaurant ¾ miles. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/107/840/10704791.jpg UK2606

    Comfort and Equipment

Very well designed cottage and a warm welcome from Sharon and Graeme , a lovely welcome basket on the kitchen table on arrival--a nice touch! The kitchen is lovely but the fridge a bit small for a family of 6 although a small freezer was provided when we asked our hosts. We loved the comfort of the log burning stove and enjoyed the little snug as a place of quiet calm. As it was twixmas we loved the Christmas tree and decorations. All in all a very happy and comfortable week in a lovely country location close to many interesting towns and countryside.

Beautiful cottage but needed more kitchen equipment such as more pots and pans, plates and mugs etc - especially when 6 people staying. Only 1 bin bag provided for a week, no dish cloth etc.

Lovely, modern property in a good location to explore the North York Moors, York and the coast. Good sized rooms and comfy furniture. The log-burner looked very appealing although we didn't need to use it. Very friendly hosts who offered help if needed but didn't intrude despite living next door! A bonus welcome pack was much appreciated. Would definitely stay again when next visiting the area.

Wow, what a fantastic cottage. Has everything you need. The owners can't do enough to accommodate you. The welcome basket was such a lovely addition extra. The only downside is you have to drive everywhere. The pub is a mile away but you couldn't walk down the country lane in the dark.
