The Grange (ref UKC3897) is perfect if you’re going away with your family or a big group of friends, as the property sleeps sixteen guests, across six bedrooms. The Grange can also be booked alongside The Linhay (ref UK10421) which sleeps an additional two guests, this studio annexe is ideal for couples. Both properties have access to the 1000-acre estate, tennis court and games room.
The Grange is a traditional family house, full of charm and character. The views stretch across the Exmoor National Park countryside, for as far as the eye can see, and come nightfall, the star gazing is incredible, whether this is from the house or your private swim spa.
Inside, the house has room after room. Starting on the ground floor, the living room has a comfortable seating area and wood burner and the dining room, with its open fire, is the perfect setting for gathering everyone together. There is a traditional farmhouse kitchen and a conservatory with comfy sofas, and views onto the woodland and gardens. The library is perfect for some quiet time, and finally, the drawing room is ideal for relaxing and warming yourself in front of the open fire. Heading upstairs you will find six bedrooms, one has a kingsize zip and link bed and an additional single bed with a large en-suite, one with a kingsize four-poster bed with en-suite, a twin room with en-suite bathroom, a zip and link bedroom, a bunk room and lastly, a bedroom with twin beds and a bunk bed which has its own chill out area and an en-suite shower room with toilet. The deluxe swim spa has jet functions and can reach 25-35 degrees dependant on the weather outside. At the front of the property there is a large lawned area, perfect for dining al fresco, and a barbecue in the summer months. There is also a shared tennis court available.
The Linhay can either be booked alongside The Grange, or for a cosy retreat it is ideal for couples. The Linhay is a studio annexe featuring a double bed, living area with a wood burner. A small set of steps leads down to the fully equipped kitchen and fitted bathroom. Outside, there’s a private patio with seating and chiminea looking over the tennis court. With 1000 acres on your doorstep, it’s the perfect location to explore the Exmoor National Park either by cycling, horse riding or walking. With both Somerset and Devon so close, you really will be spoilt for choice. Lynton and Lymouth is where Exmoor meets the sea and this can be reached in 15 minutes. Other places close by are Minehead, Dunster and Barnstaple. If you love beaches then Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton are also less than 45 minutes away. Water sports can be found at Wimbleball Lake, while families will love Exmoor Zoo and The Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park. The traditional market towns of South Molton and Dulverton are both only a short drive away. When it comes to eating out the options are endless, with plenty of local country pubs in the surrounding villages and towns. Beach 11 miles. Shop 6½ miles, pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.
