No smoking.\n Grangemoor Barn offers comfortable accommodation for couples or families with a cosy wood burner for those cooler evenings. It is situated on the edge of the owners 300-acre sheep and dairy farm and is only 800 yards from Scots Gap Village. This stone built detached holiday home with the owners living adjacent was once a grain store and cattle shed and has been carefully restored with some original beams and has lovely views over open countryside. Visitors are welcome to visit lambs in the spring and the horses or cows or explore the farm and surrounding areas with walks from the door step. The River Hart runs through the north side of the farm and is reached via the bridleway through the woods abundant with wildlife the river here is home to rare white clawed crayfish which only survive in the cleanest of rivers. The village has a country store which has been there many years and has a thriving clientele.\nNearby Wallington Hall is a lovely place to visit with a pretty tea room and super farm shop. Scots Gap is only 12 miles from the historic village of Morpeth with an abundance of pubs tea rooms and shops. The location is ideal for travelling over to Otterburn and on to the National Park with the internationally acclaimed Dark Sky Park popular for star gazing. The glorious miles of golden sands on the Northumberland Heritage Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty can be reached easily making for another great day out exploring. Alnwick Castle Hadrian’s Wall Holy Island Newcastle or the Angel of the North can all easily be reached from here making for great days out with a welcome base to return to whether sitting out in the garden admiring the view or curling up in front of the wood burner.     Beautiful barn on a lovely working farm. The house had all the things you could need and it was spacious, clean and homely. The only issue is that the heating is oil based so there was a strong smell similar to diesel in the hallway for the majority of the stay. It's a little drive to the local villages and towns around which is what we enjoy however if you want amenities in walking distance this probably isn't the ideal location for you. Overall we had a lovely stay and would most likely stay again now we know to keep the windows open during the day to get rid of the strong fuel smell.

    The cottage was well equipped, beds were comfortable and all major appliances worked well. Would have appreciated more small kitchen utensils, as had to improvise. View from the lounge was lovely. A relaxing time. Thank you.

    Beautifully situated looking out over fields full of sheep and lambs. Comfortable with everything we needed. Ideal for visiting Wallington, Bolam lake and Belsay, all within 15 mins by car.

    This cottage is in a beautiful location with stunning views. The family that run the cottage were on site running the farm and were very friendly but not intrusive. They let our children look round the farm and see the lambs that had just been born. The cottage was well equipped, lovely clean bedding and towels. Everything you would need to cook with. There were a few cobwebs behind cupboard (this was only noticed whilst hunting for toys) but it was generally clean. The enclosed garden was perfect and safe for children and parking cars. It gets the sun most of the day. The location is ideal for exploring the area.

    We booked Grangemoor as a family getaway for new year and what an amazing place it is, there was everything there that you could possibly want or need and it is just a short drive away from Morpeth for shopping etc, the Barn was spacious and clean and really comfortable and super cosy.
