Hoseasons " Enjoying a quietly secluded rural location and stunning panoramic views over the Vale of Usk to the Brecon Beacons this delightful detached converted barn also boasts a spacious and very comfortable beamed interior and a games room. Perfect for family reunions and celebrations year round it lies about 7 miles from the historic town of Monmouth. Here as well as shops inns restaurants and a good range of leisure facilities including an indoor pool cinema and theatre the visitor can explore the Nelson Museum and hire canoes or bicycles for a traffic free trip along the beautiful Wye Valley and its riverbank. Just a little further afield and known as the gateway to the Brecon Beacons is the market town of Abergavenny 12 miles and only 3 miles away the village of Skenfrith offers an award winning restaurant pleasant riverside walks and a 13th century castle one of many in the area – a visit to magnificent Raglan Castle is a must. Tintern Abbey floral Usk and RSPB Symond’s Yat are all a short drive whilst Hereford’s impressive cathedral and Chepstow racecourse are about 20 miles distant. World class golf fishing canoeing riding and excellent walking are all available locally. Shops in Monmouth 7 miles pub serving food 3 miles. \nGround floor Living room. Dining hall with beams. We spent a family weekend with 6 adults and 5 children in this beautiful barn for a 40th birthday celebration. The barn didn’t disappoint it was spacious, calming, relaxing and I would definitely return.

There were eleven of us and we fitted comfortably into the available accommodation. The barn was clean and well presented, so we settled quickly and easily. Monmouth is a lovely area and we had a most enjoyable family reunion. Our grateful thanks to everybody concerned.

It was a fabulous barn conversion with all the equipment you need. But it does need some updating. The cooker was quite hard to operate due to dial numbers being worn!! The hot tub needed a portable gazebo just to protect you from sun shade or rain. the outside furniture needed updating or at least a lick of paint. The furniture was a little tired looking. We didn’t think much of the games room it smelt very musty and was in a garage away from the house. But overall a lovely stay but with a few improvements it would be 10/10.

It's a lovely property, it suited our party for our annual get together, the hot tub is a nice addition but if windy makes it very cold to stay in as hot tub exposed at front of propety to give you the fabulous views of the country side and cows. And sometime the tractors working in the fields. Property owner was very friendly and very helpful. If any disabled in party be aware no toilet on ground level only by bedrooms on second floor. Very cosy snug with plenty of wood in shed , was very welcomed in evening to watch telly and play card games. Kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed for all our cooking needs, and we made lovely meals. As only 9 of us we fitted lovely around dinning table as we eat and watched the wildlife and cats outside (There about 20 cats living around and in farm house next door that come and see if you will feed them but don't attempt to come indoors even if doors open). We missed the sign to the lane to get to the Barn, directions are very accurate on Sat nav. Muddy lanes but once parked up we didn't move all weekend so wasn't a problem. Overall we would come back but only in summer to experience the Barn at it's best. Thank you for having us.
