The hut/hot tub were lovely and the welcome pack with scones was a nice touch. However it was 5 miles from cockermouth in Aspatria so i feel people should be aware of this when booking cos it is isolated

We really enjoyed our stay- very cosy and relaxing. The hut is excellent value for money and better than we imagined!
Stayed here for 4 nights wc. 24th Sept and upon arrival was completely blown away by the location & the Shepherds Hut itself. The location was remote & quiet which was everything we wanted. The Hut had absolutely everything required from cooking facilities, pots n pans, crockery to kitchen towel, anti-bac wipes & washing up liquid etc. The welcome pack was a very nice touch too.Throughout our stay we didn’t require anything further from the host although I’m sure anything we’d of asked for would have been sorted very quickly. The hot tub was checked/cleaned twice a day, you couldn’t ask for anything more. Did I mention the Highland Cows practically outside the door.....?
Very cosy even during gale force winds and torrential rain during the night. Emma is very friendly and helpful and the 'highland' neighbours a delight although very shy. This was a last minute booking and booked without any photographs being available at the time , it was a genuine surprise, smaller than expected but finished to a high specification - the woodburner and hot tub were a welcome luxury. We enjoyed the very rural and remote location but the main sights are within easy reach by car (not sure about bus routes). The Masons Arms in Gilcrux (15 minutes walk away) is a gem especially for coeliacs as there was plenty of choice at a very reasonable price.
