Had a great week staying at Greengrove Cottage. The owner was very helpful. Went somewhere interesting every day. Lots of local walks for the dog. Very pleasant village.

Good central location for seeing the many attractions around Wiltshire. Worth a trip to the Dorset coast too as it's only about 50 miles away and definitely worth it.

Pretty cottage and garden, but in a very busy cut through between A roads. Parking space provided is essential. The garden was dog friendly, and ours loved it and didn't escape. The chairs could do with renewing, or cleaning. Kitchen looked very cottagey, with fittings to match. Enough equipment to self cater. I always forget though that knives are never sharp and things are not exactly as at home. Note to self, take own knives.😉 Lounge was cosy. I imagine it's lovely in winter with the wood burner lit. Nice corner by the window for breakfast at the table. Shower water pressure was dodgy and the sink hot water tap didn't seem to work at all. Bed was comfortable. I do think it was over priced, I guess the extra is because of the pretty area and thatched roof.

This cottage is normally one of the more expensive in the catalogue. We took it on a special offer at the last minute as our Kitchen replacement ran over schedule. It is however not deserving of its price. It was badly maintained and not clean. There was mould and dirt round the bath, the taps were very worn gold and didn't turn on properly, the whole cottage had a decrepit air about it. The kitchen is positively Victorian. Why do people imagine that filling a holiday let with their old cast-off fixtures and fittings is good enough? It is on a busy road and the traffic starts at 05:30! Glad we left early. I would not recommend this cottage as value for money.

A very nice cottage. Plenty of space for two. Lovely garden also. Well equipped on the whole. Negatives, poor shower, limited parking and no local walking maps. The local pub 3 Daggers is really nice but expensive and the walk there is across fields (not good in the dark) or along a busy road with no footpath. I would stay here again but thought it was expensive .

We were slightly surprised at the lack of some basics considering it is4 star rated eg no kitchen towel, on the holder &no kitchen scissors. No matches or kindling to light the fire. We were also rather shocked at the electricity charge; £14 (usage given as 24) we are used to staying in a similar cottage in Nov & USUALLY PAY AROUND £8. Some of the equipment could do with a service. The shower is weak & considering the amount of scale in the kettle could probably do with a descale.
