Excellent cottage, fully equipped kitchen. Fantastic location on the moors with a fairly easy walk down to Goathland with the dog. Whitby a short drive away plenty of shops within easy distance for all needs. Hosts very welcoming, will be back for another stay here.

Wonderful cottage on a working farm deep in the heart(beat) of the North Yorkshire Moors. Very clean, spacious and bright. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with linen, towels and other essentials provided. There is wifi ... just, it's very hit and miss due to the thick walls but hey it's the perfect excuse for losing the technology and getting away from social media for a while. The nearest village, Goathland, is 3km away down a long steep hill. Goathland featured as Aikenfield in the long running series Heartbeat, it is also home to one of the Railway Stations of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which runs from Pickering to Whitby. A week wasn't really long enough to cover this stunning area. Loved it.

We had a lovely much needed holiday at the cottage with our dogs. The weather wasn't great so it was nice to be able to go back to a warm homely cottage at the end of every day. The location was peaceful and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Much more to do in the north york moors than we anticipated so we will probably be back! Highly recommend the cottage.
