We had a lovely stay at Gwelfor. The owners were friendly and helpful and the cottage was spotless. Very well equipped, we have stayed in many cottages over many holidays and this is the best we have ever rented.

Fantastic cottage in a great area. The decor is stylish but comfortable, excellent quality bedding and towels. Loads of kitchen equipment : full kitchen and a bbq for outside. Great space especially with a dog and very practical floor, a utility room and downstairs toilet and shower. Lovely view from front : sea and sunsets, from the back : distant hills. Great to have off street parking and good pub and pizza place a few steps away - but not noisy, by lovely bubbling stream. You can walk to the beach - around 20 mins. You can walk along the road into barmouth but prob an hour. Also trendy bar/restaurant with a fish and chips take away section about 30 mins walk. A wonderful week and we’ll be back :))

Fabulous welcome pack. Very clean, comfortable, modern and comfy cottage. Loved having the Smart TV's in each bedroom, meant that my Mom and I could watch films in the bedroom, whilst my dad watch football! Private garden. Great central location for Snowdonia, Welsh Highland Railway, Portmerion and lovely beaches everywhere. Spar supermarket 20 minutes walk away and a Co-op, 3 miles away in Barmouth. Lovely pub about 100 yards away, with great food. The Last Inn in Barmouth was very good for atmosphere and food. Will definitely come back again!

A very clean and comfortable house with a lovely welcome pack. The house is opposite a road leading down to numerous static caravan parks and the coastline and beach are quite pebbly. The pub which is almost next door has seen better days but the food was ok if not a bit pricey. Lovely views front and back and we found a good dog walk leading through a wood alongside the pub. Its a good spot to get further up the coast to Portmerion and Snowdon and the walk from Fairborne to Barmouth over the bridge is well worth the effort. Very nice and helpful owners too.

Amazing cottage, so well equipped & well kept. The facilities were wonderful & as we didn’t have great weather we made the most of it!! The local pub was ok if not slightly quiet & unfortunately the pizza place close by has recently closed. We struggled on location to find suitable places to walk our dog & take a pram nevertheless we would definitely stay again. Lovely little touches like the wine, bread, butter, eggs, milk & chocolate we appreciated on arrival! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay- don’t hesitate to book this cottage!

Gwelfor was first class. The welcome pack was amazing, it contained everything required and more. I needn't have brought anything, everything was provided and I mean everything. We've never had such a good rent before. The situation was great, lovely views and close to lots of places. Beautiful part of the country. Would definitely use it again.

Very well equipped cottage in an area with beautiful mountains and beaches to explore. The Welcome pack was generous and much appreciated. The rooms are well furnished and the house has a cosy feel.Even in mid October we were able to use the garden space which at times was a sun trap and meant we were able to sit outside. We also viewed some stunning sunsets over the sea from the front bedroom window. The nearby spacious, sandy beaches were quiet at this time of year and a perfect place to take our young puppy for his first few walks. A lovely place for a relaxing holiday.

Gwelfor is perfect . From the moment we arrived we fell in love with the house . It has been renovated to a very high standard . The owners have put a lot of thought into making their quests comfortable. The house is light and airy . Both bedrooms have en-suites .The beds are comfy with wonderfully soft pillows . We had a perfect holiday and can't wait to return .

This the second time we have stayed at Gwelfor, we have been taking cottage holidays for over 30 years and Gwelfor is the most comfortable and best equipped cottage we have had the pleasure to stay in. The owners are lovelhvand are only across the road if needed but are never intrusive. Since our last stay the garden has a new fence so is now securely enclosed. The area is perfect for dog walking, with woods behind the Ysgethin Inn and a marvellous beach (when the tide is out) at the end of the lane opposite the cottage. There are so many places to visit locally I can't list them all but Barmouth, Harlech, Porthmadoc are all nearby, Llandanwg is a beautifully peaceful place with a medieval church in the dunes, a fantastic beach and a lovely little cafe serving the most aromatic fresh out of the oven scones....bliss! Tony's Italian restaurant is only 5 mins walk from Gwelfor, over the bridge and across the road, you can book to eat in or phone your order through for takeaway....the pizza is fantastic and Tony's tiramisu is to die for...divine! I think I could live at Gwelfor!
