    We very much enjoyed our stay at Halcyon which we found to be very well equipped, clean and with very comfortable beds. Some of the bedroom wardrobes were rather 'tired' and possibly due for replacement soon, but were clean and with a better supply of hangers than we have sometimes found in other properties. The rather heavy weight duvets we found too warm and it would be nice if more summer weight ones were provided. This of course is purely a personal preference. A welcome pack on arrival provided milk, tea and coffee and a pack of Welsh Cakes. We had a power supply problem with the electric shower in the en-suite bathroom while we were there, but the owner on being contacted got straight on to it and a visit from an electrician while we were out sorted it satisfactorily. A very large enclosed garden suitable for children to play in and a paved patio area if you choose to sit outside for meals. Ample off road car parking space. Well positioned just far enough out of the main village to avoid crowds such as we saw on Lifeboat Day (recommended though it only happens once a year of course) yet within easy walking distance of the village. Only a couple of minutes walk to a small food shop and even closer to a good fish and chip shop. Easy access by car back to Benllech where there are three small but well stocked supermarkets to choose from and nowhere is very far away on Anglesey. Well positioned on a beautiful bit of the island, easy access to the coastal path and some lovely beaches, I would be happy to recommend this property.

    The accommodation was fine with most facilities provided for a comfortable holiday. However, the shower in the ensuite did not work properly and was unusable. Also the shower head in the main bathroom needs replacing. Bins in the bathrooms had not been emptied and cobwebs seemed to be quite prevalent so cleaning left a bit to be desired. The kitchen however was nice and clean. The worst thing however was the maintenance outside the property - weeds everywhere and various debris from previous occupants. The garden fence was unsafe and nearly fell over when the children leaned against it. Also a broken football net was left on the patio - a dangerous magnet for our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren. It's a pity these things were not put right as we had a lovely holiday.
