Haldon Forest Lodge gives you the perfect chance to observe nature up close and personal, with 600 fallow and roe deer living on the ridge of the forest. Whether you want a quiet stroll or an exhilarating mountain biking experience, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.You are also treated to the use of four adult mountain bikes, which are available to hire, to make the most of the various cycle tracks in your surroundings. There is also a range of walking, running and cycling trails to suit all abilities, as well as pump loop, orienteering courses, play equipment and so much more waiting to be discovered. For the thrill-seekers out there, Go Ape is ideal. This allows you to discover breathtaking 360-degree views from the treetops and experience hilltop zip wires and daring level crossings giving you and your family memories that will last a lifetime.
If you wish to venture further, the beaches of Teignmouth and Dawlish are nearby. Alongside this, the lodge has easy access to Exeter Racecourse which is just 200 metres away and it’s just a 10-minute drive to Exeter city centre if you fancy some retail therapy.
