The focal point of the village is the harbour, which offers a lively calendar of events such as lifeboat week, the folk festival and live entertainment provided by some of the hotels and restaurants situated around the harbour. There are several golf courses together with tennis courts, bowling and putting greens

    We had a fantastic week in this flat. Not as well equipped as other places we have stayed in Portpatrick, but the location, views, and warm welcome by the owner more than make up for this. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

    Large apartment with beautiful views in a very pretty harbour village. The accommodation appears to be four former B and B rooms which have been refashioned into a self contained 'flat', however the hallway connecting the rooms still has a window in it, so you can see into the separate accommodation below and they can see you! A simple curtain or blind would resolve the problem, but this has not been installed. Furniture and bathrooms looked dated and tired for example the bed was missing a wheel and the tap in the bathroom was too stiff to turn. Worst of all the apartment and main house, which is lived in by the owners, was dirty! Brown splashes up the walls and on the landing floor, thick dust around the beds and underneath the furniture. Loads of crumbs and debris discovered when we unfolded the sofa bed. No vacuum cleaner or other cleaning materials. Extremely disappointing. These issues have been highlighted to the holiday rental company who apparently will be taking them up with the owners. In the state it's currently in though I would definitely not recommend.
