We had a lovely stay but we were all agreed that the cottage shouldn’t be 5 star rated how it is currently. It’s beautiful but it’s just getting a bit tired. Dirty, worn rugs cushions and chairs it all needs a freshen up that’s all. The bathrooms are showing signs of wear too, shame the bath doesn’t have a shower above too. Could probably do with some new mattresses soon too. The front door is also really drafty! Hate being moany but just wanted to be honest, if these things were addressed it would be absolutely perfect! Owner very helpful when there was a power cut and kept us informed. Beautiful location.

Lovely cottage within a few steps of the sea and coastal path. The village is small with limited amenities but we were trying to get away from it all so it was just what we wanted. The cottage was well equipped and we particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove after a day’s walking. We did struggle a bit with the central heating controls so better instructions might help but we managed and I guess if you stay in a strange house it takes a while to fully understand its quirks. Relying on an unfamiliar house for your Xmas was a risk but everything was in place and worked well. We were well looked after by the host who made sure there were Xmas decorations up and plenty of wood available. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Harbourway. Craster is tiny, but very nice indeed and the cottage has a great position. It is well equipped, spacious and nicely decorated. Our only problem was with the heating which appeared not to work properly. Although there was an efficient log burner, the central heating appeared to come on overnight. Meaning cold days and hot nights. If this problem can be sorted the cottage would be highly recommended by us.

Disappointed on arrival that there wasn't even a bottle of milk in the fridge I had to buy the last bottle from the local café as there were no shops in Craster. A broken shower screen in the back garden didn't give a good impression either Pillows awful heater system complicated. The cottage was nice but with a bit of effort could have been so much better, it seemed that the owners didn't care too much every thing was jammed in cupboards in the kitchen units not much matched in the crockery , in its favour were spacious living area comfy settees and lovely location

Lovely spacious cottage with good quality furnishings in a lovely location. The only reason I rated it 9 out of 10 on comfort and equipment is because of a few minor issues which we worked round: only 4 teaspoons (one of which was a serrated for grapefruit) only 7 dinning chairs lack of sharp kitchen knives for cutting veg etc The family bathroom could benefit from a shower over the bath as I ended up sharing my en suite shower with 3 other people which detracts from having your own facility somewhat! Otherwise we had a fabulous time.

Went with family for the week, beautiful setting overlooking Craster harbour. The cottage is well presented with everything we required.

The cottage was pleasant , however it requires some work on its plumbing and fittings. A leaky shower, a toilet cistern needs attention, door hinges are rusty and noisy, some doors are difficult to close and the front door could be more secure at night. These are relatively small issues, the overall the stay was good. Perhaps a handyman could spare his time for a day.
