This wonderful complex of four attractive holiday cottages can be found in the pretty Lancashire village of Hardhorn, neighbouring Poulton-le-Fylde on the beautiful Fylde Coast. Set on a former working farm the family run complex is also home to a caravan and makes the most perfect base from which to explore the many exciting attractions of the area. Each cottage has been comfortably furnished and offer their own unique layout and design.
The Granary for instance is a spacious cottage with the living accommodation on the first floor, to take advantage of the long-distance views. The Hay Loft is a first-floor apartment which boasts exposed brickwork and beams, as does The Shippon which has a sociable open plan living and dining area. The Barn is a ground floor apartment which has the convenience of facilities to aid those who are less mobile.
Poulton le Fylde is just a mile down the road and is a compact but busy town with plenty of places to eat and drink, together with a vibrant nightlife. Lancashire’s beautiful coastline is also just a short drive away, with the beautiful golden sands of St Annes Beach and wonderfully cosmopolitan Lytham both around a 20-minute drive.
The glitz and glamour of Blackpool including its famous Tower, Pleasure Beach, Sea Life Centre, Madame Tussauds, and tropical Sandcastle Water Park can be reached in around 10 minutes and other activities available locally include golf (5 championship golf courses are available nearby) and fishing, as well as plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling.
For those wanting to swap the coast for countryside Lancashire’s beautiful Ribble Valley, the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks and the Forest of Bowland AONB are all within an hour’s drive and make for a lovely day out. Finally, for anyone wanting to give their cars a rest, Poulton le Fylde train station is 2 miles from the complex and runs direct services to Blackpool, Manchester, and Preston.
