Accessed by a single track, this traditional, Cumbrian farmhouse is surrounded by open countryside, with far-reaching views of the Southern Fells from the front of the property. Attached to the owners home, it is close enough to enjoy the beautiful coastline, and of course all the features of a working farm. The cottage in parts dates back to the 1700’s, and is full of character from the original slate flooring in the living room, authentic warmth from the Aga stove, to the feature fireplace with a glowing wood burner. Perfectly situated on the West Coast of Cumbria, families can explore nearby Muncaster Castle and the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway and fell walkers have just a short drive to England’s highest peak, Scafell Pike at the far end of the Wasdale Valley. The open stretches of Seascale beach are perfect for young, old and dogs too! Golf, horse riding and numerous excellent restaurants are all nearby, and our owner is happy to arrange for locally sourced meat, dairy and veg hampers to be ready for you on arrival.
