This gorgeous, stylish Norfolk property, Harvest Cottage, has been designed by an up-and-coming interiors specialist to provide cosy cottage living at its luxury finest. Every detail has been thought through to provide maximum comfort and relaxation, making this really feel like a grown-up space, which is also perfect for small families. Many of the little touches you will find within are hand-made and bespoke, giving this lovely little terraced getaway a truly unique feel. The space within has been carefully designed so that every bit of it flows, making sure that it is both light and airy. There is no dining table in the property because the owner wanted to make sure that while this is a traditional cottage, it was laid out to maximise, rather than to restrict the space and this has certainly made for a good choice as the living area within the property is just lovely. The wood burner makes this property perfect year-round, whether you are enjoying an al fresco glass of something chilled or snuggling up in front of the roaring fire, or just relaxing and catching up with your favourite programmes.
Outside is a courtyard garden, as well as a larger garden down a footpath. Venture out further, you will see much to see and do within the area. In under half an hour you can be on the coastline exploring the rolling sand dunes at Heacham or the wide sandy beach, stripey cliffs and other seaside attractions in Hunstanton. A little further east are the much-photographed delights of Wells-next-the-Sea.
This area boasts lots of lovely coastal habitats including sand and shingle beaches, dunes, quays and salt and clay marshes. History buffs will be spoilt for choice, too, with the Hanseatic Quarter of Old Kings Lynn, Castle Rising, Castle Acre and the Sandringham, Houghton and Holkham Estates all within easy reach. The RSPB Snettisham and Titchwell Marshes will surely be calling all wildlife enthusiasts.
Having worked up an appetite with lots of sightseeing, you will be delighted to discover that this part of Norfolk is enjoying something of a burgeoning foodie scene with lots of inns, cafés and restaurants serving fresh, seasonal, local produce. Add in year-round dog walking beaches, other great countryside walks and fabulous cycling routes and you will see just why this part of Norfolk has become so popular. You are certain to come back and when you do, you will be sure to return to charming Harvest Cottage for another great stay. Just lovely! Beach 13 miles.
