There is a spring fed lake at the top of the property that is bathed in sunshine for nearly the whole day.
Set in stunning countryside, you will experience tranquillity as soon as you step out onto your balcony, where you will be overlooking our original fishing lake stocked with large common and mirror carp, perch and grass carp. Further up the hill is our second, more recent and larger lake, which is stocked with common and mirror carp, golden and blue orfe, green and golden tench, chub, roach, rudd and gudgeon. There are fabulous views to the South Downs from here. All anglers must show a current fishing licence and abide by the rules which will be provided upon booking or by request. Fishing (extra charge) is available during the day between 8am- 8pm/dusk, and at night between 8pm/dusk- 8am. For ramblers and hikers, there are several public footpaths nearby leading to Buxted, Rotherfield and beyond. Pick up can be arranged to and from station if required, by prior arrangement with the owner.
These shepherd’s huts have all the modern conveniences you’d expect with the addition of a wood burner for those chilly nights. Please be aware that the phone signal is not very good for some networks except at the top of the hill. Beach 23 miles. Shop and restaurant 2½ miles, pub 2 miles.
