We were a group of 6 adults on anual weekend break. Overall this was our best cottage so far - we liked the boot room/utility, dining kitchen, comfortable living room, spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds, good standard and quantity of kitchen equipment and Crockery etc. The cottage has a nice ‘homely feel’. The area is very rural and quiet. It was lovely to be able to walk to the beach and nature reserve. A taxi to Amble for a night out was less than £10 each way. Things we liked a bit less - the upstairs electric shower is underpowered and that is where most of the bedrooms are situated, the downstairs loo is very cold indeed, there was no way to adjust the central heating controls so we got a bit chilly mid afternoon. The stairs are fairly steep and the actual steps are very narrow in depth so we tended to have to go sideways. The outside space is limited, but ok for a drink if sunny . The cleaners were waiting for us to go before 10 am so we felt a bit rushed out.

Loved this property. We've done lots of holidays in dog friendly cottages and this is the nicest we've ever stayed in. Our friends who live locally visited for the day and were super impressed. Was very pleased to see that the secure outside area for the dogs really was secure. I don't think there was anything we needed that wasn't there. Highly recommended.
