Haven House is located within the town of Wareham, with the quay, a number of pubs and high street shops all within less than a 5-minute walk. Wareham is a fantastic place to stay with so much to do nearby. You can explore the outdoors at Wareham Forest which includes the Sika Walking and Cycling Trail. It is a short drive to the beautiful award-winning beaches of Studland Bay, The Blue Pool, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Only a few miles away is the 1000-year-old Corfe Castle, managed by the National Trust and sitting within the pretty village of Corfe Castle itself. From Corfe Castle it is possible to catch a steam train into the seaside town of Swanage with its unique shops, arcades, pier and golden sandy beach. From nearby Poole, which has the world’s second largest natural harbour, a boat will take you to Brownsea Island, another National Trust site, which is well worth a visit with its abundance of wildlife, including deer, peacocks and the elusive red squirrel.
A variety of attractions are also a short drive away, such as the Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World and the Jurassic Coast where you can go fossil hunting.
