A cosy cottage with an attractive garden in a village with good food pubs.

Although we had a slight problem with the heating, it was dealt with very efficiently by the caretaker and the owners.

Overall we were very satisfied with this cottage. We found the cottage to be more comfortable than others found it eg we had no problems with beds or sofas. It is well placed for a wide variety of days out but was also close to the local store and to the Fox and Goose. There is also another pub but that one didn’t impress. The only thing which let the cottage down was the shower. The head is past its best and there is also a strange slope on entry which some could find awkward.

We had a very enjoyable time staying at Hawthorne cottage. It was a great base to explore Suffolk. Comfortable relaxing cottage with a lovely garden.
