    With its high ceilings, Regency architecture and elegant proportions, this spacious upper apartment on two floors is a perfect base for exploring the county of Angus. There is plenty of room to spread out and relax after a busy day. Conveniently situated centrally in Montrose for all transport links, it is close to the railway station. Buses can be caught on the high street which regularly travel between the main cities of Dundee, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The owner occupies another apartment in the same building.
    Montrose has a popular sandy beach with dunes and children’s play area, Seafront Splash, (an easy walk away through the Mid Links – a series of parks, where there are further play areas, bowling clubs and the town’s football and cricket grounds). There is something for everyone, with two good links golf courses, an excellent tennis club (visitors welcome), as well as the famous Montrose Basin Wildlife Reserve, perfect for birdwatchers of all ages where there are regular guided walks around the reserve.
    Further north, the spectacular cliffs and dunes of St Cyrus are also worth a visit where a plethora of wildlife, including peregrine falcons, can be spotted. South of Montrose is the beautiful beach at Lunan Bay. The towns of Arbroath and Carnoustie are easily reached, famed for the Smokie, a speciality of smoked haddock, and the Championship golf course. A little further on, the cosmopolitan city Dundee and the V&A Museum is an absolute must. There are two supermarkets at 100 and 300 yards from the property. Beach 500 yards. Shop 20 yards, pub 200 yards and restaurant 100 yards.
