Hoseasons "Heath Villa is ideally located between Sandown with its beautiful bay and many attractions and the charming traditional seaside resort of Shanklin. All on the \nground floor.\nLiving room \nWith Freeview TV DVD player iPod dock wooden floor and French doors leading to garden.\n\nKitchendining room \nWith gas range microwave fridgefreezer and wooden floor.\n\nUtility room \nWith washing machine and tumble dryer.\n\nBedroom 1 \nWith super kingsize bed.\n\nBedroom 2 \nWith twin beds and bunk bed.\n\nBathroom \nWith shower over bath toilet and heated towel rail. \n Gas central heating gas electricity bed linen towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack and doggy extras. Enclosed lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. On road parking. No smoking. Please note There are 3 steps in the garden.\n Heath Villa is a good sized detached bungalow ideal for families and is able to accommodate up to six people. It’s dog friendly too and benefits from a fully enclosed south-facing rear garden. This bright and modern home can be found in the village of Lake located between the popular resort beaches of Sandown and Shanklin and the beach at Lake is moments from the property and shares the same gently sloping golden sands and clear swimming waters of its neighbours.\nAt the rear of Lake Beach the cliff rises steeply creating a dramatic looking natural screen and shelter for the beach at the foot of which runs the sea wall path and cycleway. The beach can be accessed from a set of steps from the top of the cliff path which is close to the property and Lake’s Island-line train station alternatively you can gain access from Shanklin or Sandown Esplanades via a short walk in either direction along the sea wall. Because this beach is tucked away and not as straightforward to reach as its resort neighbours it is very often quieter during the busier months making it a peaceful alternative for a day on the beach. As the waters are quieter this is a great beach for surfing and water sport’s as the sea is shallow and clear. There is an instructional school which is located at the back of the beach that offers a whole range of activities for all ages and abilities there’s also a café and barbeque area which is always popular during the summer season. There are beach huts which you can look to hire and also a number of benches to sit on along the sea wall path when the tide is further in. The walk along the sea wall between Sandown and Shanklin along the back of the beach is highly recommended as it offers a wide flat path which is ideal for both walkers and cyclists.\nSandown is a truly traditional British beach resort with pier amusements pitch ’n’ putt Isle of Wight Zoo children’s play area and the Dinosaur Isle attraction at the northern end of the esplanade towards Yaverland and Culver Cliff. The town is brimming with attractions to entertain visitors most of them right on the beach front itself so you never have to stray too far from the golden sands. At the other end of the path you will reach Shanklin Esplanade which is again packed full of amusements and crazy golf as well as several places to eat. Away from the beach the main town hosts a multitude of shops cafés bars and restaurants to enjoy. The old village is world famous with its pretty thatched cottages cosy tea rooms pubs restaurants and craft shops to discover. There’s also Shanklin Chine to explore carved by Mother Nature’s own hands over thousands of years. The stunning tree lined gorge cuts its mark from the old village down to the sandy beach and esplanade below. In the evening the waterfalls and woodland are illuminated giving the gardens a totally different aspect and atmosphere.\nOutdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include riding fishing cycling paragliding water sports and golf. There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages on this beautiful sunny island. The Needles landmark attraction is a must see and is a short distance away to the west with its chairlift amusement park boat rides lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Why not pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence Osborne House and Gardens or perhaps Blackgang Chine the oldest themed attraction in the UK Ventnor Botanical Gardens Tapnell Farm Park Carisbrooke Castle and the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes. Beach ½ mile. Shop and restaurant ½ mile pub ¾ mile. \n " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/105/840/10595817.jpg UKC3021

This was a perfect cottage for us and our four children! We had more than enough space and the cottage itself was beautifully kept and provided everything we needed. Close to all of the places we wanted to visit on the island. Highly recommend

Lovely bungalow, clean & well equipped. In a quiet, residential location. A short walk into Sandown or Shanklin, with the island train running at the back of the garden. Lake is not the most attractive place on the island, but a good base.

There were several things that would have improved our comfort and overall rating. Kitchen: there was no handle for the grill pan no oven gloves no instructions for the microwave Bathroom: the instructions for the shower, in the house manual, were incorrect We found the house noisy due to the wood laminate floors throughout the main areas, although they could be practical with children, dogs etc. Generally the house was clean but a little extra care with cleaning of cupboards, drawers, paintwork on doors and skirting boards would not go amiss.

Cottage is most suitable for a family with young children. The garden is lovely and fully enclosed. Situated in a quiet residential area within a few minutes walk of the coastal path and the railway station.

Heath Villa is exceptionally nice. The garden is fully enclosed so we had no fear of our dog escaping. There are some lovely walks within a short distance along the coastal path and a very convenient train service just at the back of the garden. The bungalow is nicely furnished and the kitchen has everything you would need. We would recommend it.

Heath Villa is absolutely perfect; the owner could not provide more, everything required is at hand, even a holiday bucket for the dogs. Children are very well catered for too. Both dogs and children are safe in the enclosed garden and parking is right outside the house. The bungalow is immaculate and is in a very quiet area, nice neighbours which is an added bonus, and very close to the coastal path and green area for dog walks. Fifteen minutes walk to Sandown and ten minutes to Shanklin. The main street is only a couple of minutes walk away, where there is a small store which is open 12 hours a day; the Lake Fish Bar and Ko Sing a Chinese takeaway (they also deliver) - both of which serve great quality food and have very friendly staff - what more could you ask for?! It all makes for a very relaxing holiday, I have no hesitation in recommending Heath Villa to all.
