This traditional coastal croft house is ideal for families, small groups and dog owners seeking quiet, space, scenery and access to one of the Isle of Lewis’ most beautiful beaches. Whether it’s dog walking, swimming, or bird spotting, Ardroil Sands are on the doorstep and offer miles of sand and dunes to explore.
Inside, the stone cottage is designed as a comfortable and peaceful base for your break. Every living space has windows framing the landscape, while three bedrooms and two bathrooms make it suitable for shared or family stays. Outside, a sheltered, enclosed garden provides a peaceful spot to take in the horizon and enjoy long Hebridean evenings.
Eagles can be seen from the cottage year-round, a herd of deer visits most mornings, while dolphins, porpoises, whales and otters can all be seen nearby. For stargazers, the rural backdrop and dark skies means the Milky Way can be seen with the naked eye, and the northern lights regularly appear across the bay.
Visitors can take the time to explore rural island life with the local café, shop, restaurant, gallery, and Uig Museum a 10-minute drive around the bay. Further afield are the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village, Callanish Standing Stones, and the beautiful Harris Hills.
Fuel, electric car charging, and the community shop are available in Timsgarry, a 10-minute drive around the bay. There are also a cafe, restaurant, art gallery, and local museum in the village. Supermarkets and further services are available in Stornoway, an hour’s drive away.
