    Henbury is like a home from home with all the equipment supplied and many extra personal touches. It is the ideal location to visit so many places along the Jurassic coast and with advance bookings, we were able to spend as long as we wanted at places such as Kingston Lacy National trust. Our Labrador dog was well catered for and loved the long walks both locally and on trips out. It was the 2nd time we stayed at Henbury and we will be returning there again in the future.

    Love coming to henbury we were here in the summer and loved it so we booked it for Christmas , carol and Brian are so accommodating and helpful , when we arrived carol met us and we chatted , she’d left us a beautiful Christmas cake which were still enjoying and a lovely Dorset Apple cake so so lovely , she left Christmas pressies for us and Hugo the standard poodle and we were overwhelmed. The house is cosy , comfy has everything you’d need ( I always take my own very large furniture throws despite our dog not moulting he’s wool not fur I feel better if we have them with us , we also take foam squares for the polished floors as Hugo won’t walk on shiny floors he’s weird. And we take a huge dog towel for his feet and coat in case of rain ( and we needed it over Christmas it was non stop really).the gardens lovely and large and normally fun but in the rain it was a bog at Christmas so I moved the dustbins in line to block of most of the garden so save us the mud fiasco and Hugo being filthy his grooming costs a lot lol. We found it easier to manage just half the garden in the rain. The only thing I’d say is the outside light on those steps isn’t that reliable it comes on after you go in we found so we had to use a torch. The bungalow is literally prob half an hour from everything we joke about it but it really is central and we have friends in Poole and wimbourne and verwood and in Corfe Mullen so it’s perfect for us. We loved it as always and Hugo feels at home as well , we’ve booked it again for June 2020 and look forward to it very much. I am sad to see such a harsh review from November regarding the cleanliness etc and astounded as we have found it clean and tidy both visits no cobwebs or anything and the kitchen utensils and everything spotless I am happy that seems the only one that’s had a problem as most on here seem to agree what a great place it is , the road noise is NON existent it’s near a road but the windows provide a nice sound barrier and we loved the perfect peace we experienced and the deep Dorset sleeps and the local co-op is a great supermarket right on the door step with lovely people running it nothing to complain about at only a thumbs up and a thank you to the lovely owners.

    This property is extremely well equipped, very comfortable and genuinely dog friendly. The garden is secure (a huge bonus as so many properties expect you to keep your dogs on leads even in the garden) and there are plenty of places to exercise dogs nearby. It's in a pleasant residential area with a few shops, Post Office, vet and other facilities nearby. This does mean that there is some traffic noise but I didn't find it a problem and it's only really noticeable at certain times of the day. The property's owners live a short distance away and were very welcoming.

    This house needed a deep clean. Mould in the living room, cobwebs in the main bedroom and bathroom. Dust that had clearly been there for awhile on all the blinds. House generally not clean. The owners told me the blinds get cleaned every now and then and hard to keep clean!!!! Not very fair when I'm paying to stay there. Told I could have let them in to rectify issues. It would have taken them a good day or two to have given this house a good clean. Taking out items to use in kitchen to find them dirty. The garden was a mud bath, owners told me hard with rain to keep it maintained. Never seen a garden so badly kept. Took dogs out instead of the garden in end as just took so long to clean them. To rent somewhere should be in good condition, this house is not this. The tv's all need updating too. It does have everything you could need in the kitchen, when not dirty. The owner was very kind on arrival and does leave a cake. Can't comment on it as I don't eat cake but a kind gesture. I did complain and sent pictures of evidence and got a pathetic reply. So I would not recommend this house.
