Immaculate property exceptionally clean and well equipped for self catering.. We were 6 adults and there were only 5 dining chairs and 4 seats on patio. A little isolated which meant car ride to get anywhere, I've local post office. Gina very friendly and lovely touches with the welcome.

The cottage was excellent both in facilities and cleanliness. The owners were very accommodating and pleasant. I’d definitely stay there again and would certainly give it good reviews should anyone ask. A lot of hard work has gone into making it a very comfortable stay.

A wonderful cottage with fantastic garden and terrace, best we have been to in all our years of visiting cottages around the UK with our two dogs on walking holidays. Hosts Ian and Gina are lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Anglesey is a beautiful place to visit...........

The house is bright and light, it is really well finished with all you could need to be comfortable in a really beautiful setting. If you are looking to peace and quiet , this is the perfect location. Gina , a really lovely lady, made a plate of scones , there was a basket with tea, coffee, biscuits, and milk, the heat was on as we arrived for a wet and windy week. The out side area was so lovely, the pond is beautifully positioned at the bottom of the Garden, there is an out side deck with seating , there are steps down to a cottage garden with a barbeque area with a table and benches . The local amenities are a short car ride away, There is so much to see in the area as well, everything easy to get to. We had a wonderful week despite the weather .

What a fantastic place! Garden and house envy are alive & kicking! Safe and secure with two young children both inside and out. Great to have pooch with us too. A previous review states that dogs are limited to the kitchen - yes they are if they are muddy and wet. If they are clean and dry they are welcome in the lounge - much like most of us would have it at home! A well kitted out kitchen and lots of thoughtful, additional touches: Spare towels for dirty doggies, poo bags (just in case) and an outside bin to put it in, a nappy bin, cutlery & plates for the children and much more! The children particularly enjoyed watching the train go past, the ducks in the garden and visiting the animals at the farm down the lane. Although very rural accessing local attractions was easy. Lots of things for us all to enjoy and particularly good access to Lon Las Cefni - flat walking/cycling! The accommodation was perfect - the snug and reading cwtch was a delight. Comfortable, clean relaxing - everything we look for in a holiday house. Gina was a fabulous host and we wouldn't think twice about going back!

We were greeted by the owner who had left lovely homemade scones and jam. There was also some milk and plenty of tea and coffee left for us too. She was really respectful of giving us space but was equally really friendly and attentive to any questions we had. We stayed here as a family of three, our son being 10 months old. The kitchen is fully equipped (oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, hob, toaster and kettle, as well as all the crockery, cutlery and pans you’d ever need) and the owner is very thoughtful providing bedding, towels, a good travel cot and a high chair for people with babies. Sometimes we find that only the adults are adequately catered for in this respect but not here. As someone who has a baby as well, I think she understands what essentials are useful! People are allowed to stay with their dogs but are requested to keep them in areas with tiled floors (kitchen/hallway) and definitely off the sofas. As a family without dogs we appreciated this and felt that the place felt really clean. This is a gorgeous cottage with two beautiful reception areas, a kitchen, a good family bathroom and three bedrooms (two upstairs and one downstairs). There is also loads of outdoor space with beautiful views over the garden and pond and ample parking. The reception rooms have wood burners, which the owner leaves you with enough supply for 1-2 nights worth of logs should you wish to use them. It’s easy to get more fuel nearby should you want them. My only incredibly minor criticism if I was nit picking would be that a hairdryer might have been useful. But that is me being picky. I marked the local amenities as 7/10 but don’t let this put you off. There are shops nearby enough but the local chippy and Chinese were bizarrely closed on the Tuesday we visited so ended up getting a ready meal on that night for a late meal. Just check out the opening times beforehand and I’m sure it’d be fine. Otherwise we found it to be a great base for both Anglesey and North Wales mainland. We would love to come back in the summer and visit when we can make better use of the outside space. Many Thanks

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hendre Wen for my mum’s 50th birthday! Gina went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for the babies and the welcome package was a lovely touch! The house is so spacious and beautifully kept. We’re already planning our next trip!
