Love it every time we go! About 30-50 mins from any main place happy to travel! Love waking up to pheasants instead of cara and buses. Love that is on middle of no where. Highly recommend!!

4 generations shared a very happy holiday in High Barn Abbots. The location was perfect, very quiet and with a lovely rare Norfolk view over the Yare flood plain. The accommodation was well equipped and more than adequate for our needs although it did feel very like a holiday let rather than a home. Tge setting is very rural with a short drive to local shops and the nearest pub or restaurant. However we were able to walk to Langley Dyke and on to the river which we loved. We also enjoyed ttips to the North Broads, Horsey to see the seals on the beach and to have Cromer crab sandwiches and Great Yarmouth for a beach day. All these day trips suited the younger generations while others stayed at the barn enjoying the tranquillity. Ideal.

The cottage was lovely, pity it was in the middle of nowhere, a bit disappointed the TV and video player remotes were missing, but overall a nice break in nice place.

High Barn cottage forms two accommodations which if someone is staying at the same time as you it takes the shine of the holiday because there is little privacy outside. Also sound transmits through the walls, specially if you are in the end bedroom, you can hear the tv and the occupants speaking. Very annoying if they stay up late or get up very early when you are still in bed. This was the only negative from the 1 week stay, everything else was fine.

Lovely barn, had lots of space, was lovely and warm, had lots of equipment, was very clean on arrival with teabags, washing up liquid and milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge, nice welcome extras. The views from the barn were also amazing with lots of wildlife to see. The only problem we encountered was lots of dead flies when we arrived and when we returned home from a day out. The fly spray provided was a must. It was a little concerning as we had a very young baby with us. The pictures of the barn need updating as the modern furniture in them has been replaced with dark old fashioned furniture which was disappointing.

Lovely cottage, with beautiful scenery. Many thanks to the owners for leaving milk and wine for us. It was a nice thoughtful touch. I wished I had brought my spider catcher with me, but should have thought of that with it being a barn conversion. There is a really nice garden centre down the road (Highways) and Wroxham Barns and Blickling Hall were great places to visit.
