We had a lovely 3 night stay in early March. I was expecting it to be cold in the cottage, so was pleasantly surprised to walk into a fresh smelling and warm kitchen. The lounge soon became toasty when using the log fire. One of our top requirements for this holiday was to have use of a table tennis table - and this cottage has a splendid facility in the garage/laundry room, which provided entertainment between walks! Hawes is a superb little town, with plenty of shops and eateries to all budgets.

We had a lovely short break in Hawes. We did two 5 mile walks and visited the Red Squirrell Trail in Snaizeholme. We had fantastic pub lunches during the walks and thoroughly enjoyed the area. The Wensleydale Creamery was fantastic with some lovely cheeses to taste and buy. High House in Hawes is well placed to visit everywhere in the Dales and we would definitely love to do it again!!

Great base for walks and visiting Hawes. The logburner doesnt give off much heat and we had it pretty much blazing all week in Dec.

Lovely cottage in the centre of Hawes. Cosy and warm and lovely and clean, highly recommended. The only negative is parking the car in the courtyard and getting it out again but realise parking is a premium in Hawes as it’s a busy market town in high season.

Excellent position and a comfortable cottage.... with parking!

Four adults stayed at High House in early September. The house was very clean, is well equipped and very comfortable. A short walk to the shops, pubs, coffee spots, and fish and chip shop, with excellent walks from the doorstep we hardly used our car. The lounge has wonderful views from the French Windows, and is a very relaxing room. Settle to Carlisle railway only 11 miles away, Swaledale just 5 miles, a beautiful unspoilt part of England.

Another wonderful holiday spent at High House. The only down side to this property is the night storage heating as I found the house rather cold. Although there is a log burner it isn't easy for a lady in her seventies to carry fuel up the steps.

Lovely cottage with fantastic views from balcony. Very close to the pubs, restaurants and shops. The mosaic trail around hawes and surrounding villages is good fun for kiddies and adults with stunning waterfalls and scenery.

Fantastic location and lovely views over the Yorkshire Dales. Will definitely be going back.
