Sept 19. Nice large clean comfortable cottage with parking in a quiet friendly village. Takes two dogs. Beds comfortable and house has two bathrooms as well as a large 7 seater private hot tub. Tv has limited freeview channels and wfii when working is of good strength and speed around the house. Nice touch was left fresh milk, box of tea bags and 4 really good tasting fruit scones plus 3 cans of food for the dogs. Three places to eat in village one run by the church over lunch time Tuesday to Friday. Good dog walking straight across the road and up the lane and over the small bridge. Cooker has two ovens one small (heated up quickly) and one large which did not heat up sufficiently to heat food.

The High House, is a really homely cottage in the centre of Peterchurch Village. There are local amenities of the Nags Head and Mill Pubs (Boughton Arms closed during our visit), a Londis with a good selection of essentials and a restaurant Food for Thought. The Cottage itself has everything you need including a hot tub which is under cover from the elements. Peterchurch is a peaceful and quiet village in the Golden Valley with beautiful walks and views in the surrounding areas. Would stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyable and restful break - spacious rooms, enclosed garden for dog and a fabulous hot tub. TVs in all bedrooms and good wifi was very convenient and appreciated. Shop across the road as well as a community cafe in the local church. Easy access to facilities in Hay-on-Wye and Hereford. First visit to this part of the world and probably not the last (2 parents, 1 grandparent, 2 teenage sons and a cocker spaniel).

The cottage was amazing, a few bits that needed cleaning when we got there but it wasn’t anything major. The local area has nothing to offer if you are not into walking.

Beautiful house in Peterchurch. The owner has taken care to make sure we had everything we needed and we had a lovely stay. There were 6 of us and a dog and the accommodation was ideal!
