This cottage is advertised as luxury which is a false representation. The only tv is not sky connected.I would have expected a tv in both bedrooms. There is nowhere comfortable to sit and the lounge is large with a small tv therefore a stretch on the eyes when viewing. Washing machine is provided and very useful but no linen basket to transfer the washing. The general overall image that the grounds are not cared for with the ground covering and weeds coming through the gravel. I would have expected the property to be spotless having been empty for months but my dog kept picking things off the floor such as bits of plastic and remnants of the log burner and the place was dusty with cobwebs in places. THe location was very peaceful but it takes at least 30 mins to get into Chester.

The cottage was lovely for out Christmas break, but the 1/4 mile drive to it was horrendous there were more deep pot holes than road. Upon reporting this to cottages .com we were told that the owners told them that the road was not their responsibility and being on a farm we needed our wellingtons. We have stayed on farms before and this was by the far the worst entrance to the property we have stayed at. Anyone going to these properties should check first that the road has been repaired and as the owner says take your wellingtons.

Lovely, warm and cosy cottage. Very spacious and having two bathrooms was a real plus. The enclosed area at the back of the cottage was ideal for our dog. The owners were very friendly, and a nice touch was leaving a few dog biscuits to welcome our dog! It was nice to have washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, milk in the fridge - this doesn’t always happen at some cottages so really appreciated. Unless it was hidden somewhere, I don’t think there was a hairdryer.

Although it is a nice comfy cottage there is a feeling throughout of just good enough. Kitchen equipment just good enough. Cleanliness just good enough. Welcome from owners just good enough. And they dont welcome complaints about the approach road saying it is not in their control but it really is off putting and must be awful in the winter. We enjoyed the area for things to see and do but wouldn't stay in this cottage again.

Great stay at the Dairy. The cottage is near a few farms and there are always some cows on view, which my daughter loved. Supermarkets/pubs/restaurants are about a 10-20 minute drive away and Chester (zoo/outlet/city centre) itself is not too far. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen has everything that you need. As you are out in the countryside, there will be a few spiders around, if you can get past this you will love it here. Its nice and cosy, and there are 4 cottages in total.

Fantastic time had here, so peaceful, travelled with my husband daughter and granddaughter with the intention of visiting Chester Zoo and the Ice Cream Farm, owner recommended the Blue Planet that we didn’t know about, went on a rainy day and it was amazing! Will definitely be going back. If you are happy to be in the ‘back and beyond ‘ then this is the place for you, if you want to be in the thick of things you will have to travel
