Very nicely refurbed and well-equipped house with plenty of space for 10 adults. Despite the cold weather we experienced, underfloor heating ensured the house was always lovely and warm. The owner keeps a large log pile replenished in the next door barn, to fuel the enormous log burner in the living room should you want/need it. All bar one of the bedrooms are very spacious, bathrooms are well appointed, only criticism is lack of mirrors in bedrooms for hair drying etc. Despite its relative size and modern refurb, Highside has a welcoming and cosy feel to it. Though there is little green space attached to the house, there is plenty of walking immediately outside the back door or within a short drive. Would definitely re-book.

A beautifully refurbished property equipped to a very high standard and perfect for family or large group getaways. It is located on a lovely hillside with great views and only a short drive into Keswick. With good pubs and the Lakes distillery nearby as well as plenty of walks and scenery to enjoy, we would highly recommend Highside and hope to return soon. No expense has been spared in creating the ideal holiday home, spacious, comfortable and relaxing.

What an amazing property hidden remotely away from the hustle of reality. Easy reach of Keswick & the surrounding area for trips out, great dog walks & pubs. As a party of 9 plus 2 dogs we had a lovely long weekend enjoying the fantastic indoor & outdoor space this property has to offer. Evenings were spent in the wonderful lounge, fire lit, & wine flowing - a great room for all the guests to enjoy company
