We stayed at Highside for the second fortnight in May and found ourselves amidst glorious countryside, May blossom and Cuckoos . Highside is in a secluded situation along a lane and yet near the Buttermere Valley for mountains , lakes and the Kirkstile Inn. The house is spacious , luxurious and homely with far reaching views. It was perfect for our extended family. The owner was extremely helpful . Ten out of ten !

Highside is a great family friendly cottage set in wonderful grounds. We all enjoyed it so much we will be returning again in 2019. Most of our time was spent in the large kitchen and adjoining Dining Room, and relaxing in the large lounge after long hikes and dog walks. We would also recommend dining in the Pheasant Inn which has great food and friendly staff.
