A perfect base for couples and small families. Buttercup Cottage is ideally located between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, not far from the market town of Northallerton. Buttercup Cottage is situated in a courtyard garden. The large and spacious living room retains its original beamed ceiling and has a large south facing picture window and a smaller window onto the courtyard. There is also a fully fitted kitchen and a modern bathroom. The cottage is generously sized and provides plenty of space for families. The accommodation is on the ground floor and all on one level, except for two steps up to the entrance. The large double bedroom has wonderful views across the surrounding countryside towards the North York Moors. There is a large shared area with benches for sitting out and enjoying the views or having a barbecue as well as a separate, large dog walking field on-site and a dog washing area. There is also a children’s play area on-site with swings, slides and even a swingball! Perfect for kids to enjoy whilst the adults sit back and relax.
The hamlet of Little Langton is a perfect base for getting out and seeing some of the most stunning natural beauty in the country due to its location, with main roads a few miles east and west making it easy to get out and explore the whole of Yorkshire. Whether its walking along the banks of the nearby River Swale or visiting one of the many market towns such as nearby Northallerton or Thirsk, made famous by ’James Herriet’ and vet TV programmes, you are ideally located to explore the vibrant and dramatic north east coastline. There is a vast array of historical stately homes, abbeys and ancient castles scattered across the region, with beautiful cathedral cities such as York and Ripon and quaint Yorkshire villages with tearooms and views that are steeped in history and local traditions. The Wensleydale Railway steams its way through some of the most stunning scenery, there are several race courses and golf courses in the area and the Tour De Yorkshire is now a regular event and is attracting many cyclists to the area all year round. There are so many attractions to visit in the area such as Flamingo Land, Lightwater Valley and the Beamish Open Air Museum. Shop 1½ miles, pub 2 miles, restaurant 2½ miles.
