I love staying at this cottage and it's dog friendly! We will be back...

Everything you could think of left to make life easy. Great house and lovely covered outside area. Great property in such an amazing location.

St David's is a lovely place to stay but I couldn't recommend this cottage. The boiler was on the blink and we had to re-set it 6 times in our 4 night stay, to get hot water. The shower in the family bathroom was useless - water fell out of it straight down, no water pressure at all. The bathroom doorknob was loose and kept coming off - no good for children! The kitchen was dark (missing lightbulbs) and poorly equipped - for instance old and scratched frying pans with loose handles. It had not been cleaned properly - there were old leftover packets of rice and pasta and even dog biscuits in the cupboards. Altogether the cottage was a disappointment. I've emailed the agent and they haven't replied so I can't recommend them either!

Whilst we had a good stay and the location was excellent we felt there were a number of things that needed attention. I have emailed the caretaker with our concerns. I have given a low score in some things but if our concerns were taken into consideration we would recommend a stay.

The parking was a big problem at hillcroft cottage the overall condition of the cottage was not what I was expecting stained carpets leftover food left in the kitchen the cottage just felt a bit tired quite disappointed I've been to Wales a few times now and this is 1 cottage I will never revisit

A lovely cottage perfectly located for the centre of the city. We spent so much time walking, kayaking and surfing that we weren’t home much but it was an excellent base for our adventures!

Our holiday was not at all a relaxing one as on arrival the hoover was over full and unusable. When setting the table for our first meal we thought that the place mats and coasters were heavy and hard to pick up but it transpired that the surface of the table was extremely sticky ( as if it had been varnished recently and not dried off properly) and everything stuck to it - including our elbows!! Between the sofa cushions there were food crumbs. The Kitchen bin had mould on the inside of the lid and was filthy at the bottom inside as we're the bathroom bins. The frying pans and saucepan were scratched and beyond use. Dishwasher unusable as a 1hr 15min cycle took nearly 3 hours. The boiler tripped out daily-no hot water on arrival and subsequently none each time it tripped. The en-suite shower was blocked so you stood in an inch of water while showering, when my 84 year old father unblocked it with a plunger (at his own cost) it became clear that the pipes are connected to bathroom next door and that there was a leak because after that there was a large puddle in the hallway beneath. There were cigarette butts on the ground in the patio area. Will never go back to Hillcroft.

Cottage was absolutely lovely, a real home from home, had everything for everyone, great for children with out door play room and sheltered seating, walking distance to shop, pub and children’s park, just lovely ?

The cottage was well equipped and in a perfect location. Unfortunately, although it was advertised as non smoking it stank of cigarettes, especially in the bedrooms and we found cigarette ends and drinks bottles under the beds. This was awful, especially as we had a baby with us, and despite airing & cleaning we couldn't get rid of the smell. Some of the furniture was stained and the downstairs bedroom smelled musty and needs an update. The kitchen was great with plenty of room and equipment, again it could have been cleaner; the cooker was dirty, pots were dirty and there was no grill pan. We had a good time and the cottage could be a really great place to stay if these issues were adressed.

Great cottage/ facilities and location. And would have been 10/10 but for a few minor issues with the consistency of hot water for a shower (we think the boiler needs a service!) and the down stairs bedroom could do with an update like the other rooms.

The cottage was clean and homely, there was 2 things to complain about. 1. The pans have seen better days and need replacing. 2. Parking was a problem, only 1 hr was allowed outside the house then we had to move the car to a spare bit of land 10 minute walk away. There was parking in the Nisa car park at 5 pound per day.

The cottage was beautiful. It was lovely to have a welcome basket and essentials left in the fridge, thank you. Everything that we needed was there (we cook). St David’s is a gorgeous city with the stunning cathedral and good choices for eating and drinking. Our little dog was happy and enjoyed the outside space for a little run around. Everything was very clean and comfortable with nice character. A home from home.

Fantastic location with easy access to many beaches, pubs and a few shops. The cottage has everything you need and there is a great little supermarket 2 mins walk away. Parking needs to be considered at peak times. Overall great place.

Great roomy cottage, we had a very enjoyable week. There are a few points that could make it even better. We would have appreciated a few more tea towels, 2 wasn’t really enough for a week’s stay. Also access to an extra blanket or two would have been nice. Some pans needed a good wash before we could use them & the cushions on the sofas need removing for a good vacuuming. There was a smell of damp in the ground floor bedroom, we wiped mould away from the wall of the shelf-unit.
