Holland House is a spacious Edwardian town house situated on a quiet square in the very heart of the popular seaside town of Scarborough on the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline.
Holland House retains some of its original features, including a sweeping staircase, stained glass window and impressive bay windows. A large living/dining room can be found on the ground floor offering comfortable seating for twelve guests and a large TV. The small and compact galley style kitchen is well equipped and offers a gas oven and hob. Stairs lead down to the lower ground floor where you will find an additional bathroom. The six bedrooms are set over the top two floors and offer a mixture of double, family and single accommodation. A twin and double bedroom also boast on suite shower rooms. With a further two bathrooms providing both bath and shower options and a separate toilet. To the front of Holland House is a very small seating area, however, visitors can relax and enjoy the enclosed communal space in the centre of the square.
This holiday home is ideal for those travelling without a car as the main train station is just across the road and the town centre is on the doorstep. There’s a plethora of pubs, restaurants, shops and cafes all within a few minutes’ walk and those wishing to dance the night away at one of Scarborough’s busy nightclubs can do so knowing they only have a short walk back at the end of the night. On the seafront, there are amusements, seafood stalls and a long promenade, where you can enjoy a walk to North Bay, watching the nesting sea birds on the high cliffs with the majestic castle above. There are colourful gardens in Peasholm Park, which hosts a wonderful open-air theatre, whilst the old Spa Theatre puts on a variety of summer shows. Just a short drive from Scarborough is the stunning North Yorkshire Moors National Park which offer plenty of walking and cycling opportunities. Further along the coast is the famous seaside port of Whitby and inland the market towns of Pickering and Malton. Beach ½ mile.
