We spent 3 nights in this traditional and well equipped cottage. We were looking for a peaceful location with walking from the door and this is what we got! Lilian who lives next door was hospitable and happy to share her knowledge of the local area. The garden was an absolute pleasure to relax in.

Very cosy little cottage equipped with all mod cons. Very clean and comfortableLillian the owner gave us a warm welcome as well as delicious tea and scones on arrival, wine and unlimited logs for the open fire, just right for chillier evenings after days exploring the gorgeous countryside of the Yorkshire dales and moors and the Lake District. Great to explore with our two dogs. We would recommend a visit to Reeth and a walk from the information centre following the river swale with lots of points of interest. Also the walks from Bolton abbey village around Bolton abbey. Lots more to see and do including lovely cheese from wensleydale creamer ie and riding the steam trains at Pickering and Embsay! Great accommodation and a great holiday! Thank you Lillian for being so friendly and helpful and making sure had an enjoyable stay!

We have just come back from here, although it was nice we had 2 children with us which was not suitable at all. We also took our dog which could jump the walls. The owner was lovely, and accommodating. When we first arrived it was lovely to see scones, jam and tea, also a bottle of wine. This was a perfect touch. However, the cleanliness wasnt great, we found window sills needing a clean. Furthernore, the sofa was really uncomfortable, as soon as you sat on it you slid off. Additionally, it did not state when I booked that the owner lived next door. This definalty made us feel awkward, and to be honest wouldnt of booked if we knew this. She was a lovely lady but I wish it mentioned this in the description. Also the garden you see on the pictures is the front garden not the back I felt there wasnt much privacy. This cottage is perfect for people with no children or pets. Again the owner Lillian was always there if you needed any tips on where to go. She wrote down information which was really nice. Overall a nice place to go without children or a dog.
