• About Honeysuckle Cottage

This cottage has been very well converted from an old coach-house and now provide lovely accommodation with fittings and furnishings of an extremely high standard, in a peaceful and tranquil setting. Situated on the edge of the old market town of Richmond within walking distance of the river, open countryside and the bustling cobbled square, the many shops, pubs, restaurants and tea-rooms. The superb Castle, Museum of the Green Howards, Georgian Theatre, leisure centre and swimming pool are well worth visiting in the town. There are wonderful walks in the surrounding open countryside, and for touring the Yorkshire Dales, Northern Dales, Durham and the North York Moors, the cottage is an ideal base.

This property can be booked together with Jasmine Cottage (DC1256) to accommodate up to eight guests.

Cottage was very dark due to big trees all around it,so not a lot of sun if you want to sit out, would have liked it to have been wee bit more private and a wee picky fence so dog could get out and not get away, where it was location wise was perfect

Clean and comfortable cottage in a good location for Richmond and surrounding area. We last visited it 25 odd years ago but will return in the not too distant future. The only negative for me was the erratic WiFi whose signal dropped to often to be confident of being able to use it. Everything else was very good.

We had a wonderful stay at Honeysuckle Cottage and FULLY intend to stay there again if we can. Three top reasons: 1. Lovely snug cottage for a small family (2 adults and an infant) and a dog. 2. Richmond is lovely and the countryside in the immediate vicinity Is great for early morning and evening walks (in particular Hudswell Wood... fantastic... and a pub half-way round!). Also a great launch pad for exploring Yorkshire, the Dales, the Moors and the North East. 3. Very comfortable, nice neighbours, friendly, no hassle. Just great. Thank you very much - and see you soon. Jez and Jo (Sussex)
