The cottage was in a good location a short walk from the village, where there was a Co-op, a couple of pubs and a very good Italian restaurant where we ate twice during the week.

We had a lovely, relaxing holiday at the Humbleton Falls cottage, not only due to the perfect weather that week. It's a lovely location on a really nice camp ground with friendly owners and a good base to discover beautiful Northumberland from and nip into Scotland! Our sons loved waking up to the sound of the waterfall and being able to walk straight from the cottage to fields with rabbits and sheep, a hedgehog and a beautiful sunset! There are nice walks to surrounding hills from the cottage. The coffee/tea making facilities and milk in the fridge and biscuits were a nice touch. The cottage was perfect for our needs with a separate bathroom and an ensuite shower room and 2 toilets. Wooller is nearby for the Co-op, some pubs and fish&chips. The bedrooms were very nice (four poster double bed!) and the rest of the house was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and homely. There are some steps to the living room that someone with mobility problems might struggle with, but otherwise it is all ground floor level. No WiFi, but it was not missed at all. A lovely home from home!

Very close the small market town of Wooler which has a pub and a very good restaurant named Milan. Good free parking in town centre and co-op for shopping Easy access to cottage through small caravan site with ducks and rabbits scattered around. Lots of places to visit within 45min drive, quiet roads, recommend taking your sat. nav.
