Great central located apartment, near all amenities and tourist attractions in York. Well equipped, comfortable and warm, spacious dining / lounge area for 2 people. The only issues we found was the noise from the street below, during the day from passing shoppers and at night from the revellers, fortunately it was usually quiet by mid-night.

The flat is very well equipped indeed with top of the range appliances. The only fault is that there are no instructions for the use of any of them. The bed is very comfortable and we slept well. We had problems in finding the flat through the maze of York's one-way system, however I am pleased to report that our meet and greeter was patience itself and was very welcoming once we arrived. There are a number of nice restaurants in the vicinity and the accommodation is well placed for all tourist sites. We were in York for the Early Music Festival and the accommodation is ideally placed for all the concert venues which are in walking distance.
I have stayed at Hunter house every summer for the last 3 years. I have also stayed at Nigel's other luxury apartment, the Brierley. They are both well cared for, in perfect locations, and a home away from home. The only shortcoming with Hunter House is that partiers can be loud late at night. Also, the city is currently doing construction in front of Hunter House and the noise has been quite challenging and they start very early in the morning.
